It seems since the New year kicked off we've been hammering each other.
Some things we discuss are pretty controversial yet here are the constants:
Athiests, Christians, Most points in between: Would like to live in peaceful world and are often nice to each other, often enjoying the experience.
Marxists, Conservatives, Liberals, Libertarians: Would like to live in peaceful world and are often nice to each other, often enjoying the experience.
Our disagreements are significant but not worth saying unkind things to each other. If each of us were to go back and read our posts over the last five days it might be helpful. Because I've come to you most of you guys and you usually aren't like that. What's up?
I've always thought wars came from a sort of dynamic that starts at this level. It's unsettling.
Sadly, we are all musicians too. With few other people we can talk to about our music.
A trick I use that might help is this: when I see broken down cars (i drive a lot) i always say "God bless you." No big deal. However, if I'm pissed off two minutes later and want to say !@#$$@!@ you, it doesn't feel right after saying the first thing. There are probably secular variants of this.
Perhaps this was what FBob was on about with his 'Love' thread that sadly, went south.
God bless you all and lets do a reset back to who we really are, who we usually are.
