Congrats to RP, he made it a very close race. The wheels are starting to turn for him, and I think a showdown between him and Obama would be very interesting. At least the three stooges - Gingrich, Perry and Bachman - were handed their walking papers.

. Walking papers? Only three of the GOP winners of the Iowa caucus in the last thirty two years have gone on to win the GOP nomination. Walking papers will be handed out MUCH later.

Nine of the last twelve GOP nominees have won either Iowa or New Hampshire or both. Walking papers may be a bit strong but I would look for at least Bachman and Perry to halt their campaigns within the next several days.

My son and I are digging that Paul has made such a strong showing, last time he was kind of a joke, but he has some very strong points to make, and maybe he is catching on. I dont think he could beat Obama, but at least he is opening some eyes, ears and minds.

The Iowa caucus is a big money show ... and irrelevant to the true elective process.

Caucus is part of our problem in the political scam running in this country.

FAQ em.

P.S.

If your in Iowa please keep Prick Perry there ... we don't need that lying bastard back in Texas.

Perry heading back to TX to "reassess" his campaign, Bachman about to announce she is suspending hers. Gingrich might survive until New Hampshire but will fade as well. Out of the three remaining candidates I prefer Paul, but will take Romney over Santorum. That said, I doubt that Obama is beatable by the GOP unless something disastrous happens.

I think Ron Paul could beat the democrats but the Repubs seem to hate him more than they do Obama.

The miserable two party system is so over...i honestly can't stand either party. Never did like a liar and thieves are low in my estimation as well so that rules out both parties.

I don't get the hate for Obama... I really don't.

He's my generation's JFK - without the philandering. He's smart, well spoken, seems to surround himself with people who aren't just 'yes' men (a la Bush), and seems to really have the majority of American's interests at heart (focus on Jobs and Health Care; I'm all for that), not just corporations or the ultra-rich.

He also seems to be more than willing to compromise with the GOP, but unfortunately it seems that congressional Republicans have decided the only acceptable political policy is to oppose Obama and his administration regardless of the subject at hand or ideas on the table - which is really sad. "Oppose at all costs" doesn't seem like a smart policy to me. And I have a difficult time voting for anyone who thinks that sort of policy is good for Americans.

It's racism, plain and simple. The Good Old Boys network is alive and well.

Hey after reading your post Mr Holmes,
I when back and scanned all the other
posts. Your post is the only one that
mentioned hate for Obama. It's a ploy
you use isn't it, whenever anybody
disagrees with your opinion of Obama.
Do you use that same technique in
your music?
Your generations JFK, more like your
Jimmy Carter.
Surrounded himself with Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi,
Eric Holder, come on your making me laugh.

Jobs and Healthcare, I haven't seen the jobs,
and I got a feeling when the gov't starts running
mandatory healthcare it won't be for my good.
I oppose him because he is wrong for this country.

You got be cool and connected to be in the Good
Old Boys Club. The club has been around a long time.
