I would like to help with you mix and yes it's for free. Why for free? Because there is a lot of completion out there, I want the experience and exposure, I don't need to do this for a living and I like to make things sound good. No scam, no nonsense, no downside for you. I will also sign any agreement you would like that will make you feel secure.
So what is good sounding music? If you want you music to sound old school organic with good dynamics, realism and tonal clarity then I can help. The key to my mixes is that in the last step I use a very nice vacuum tube driven stereo system that is in a tuned room. That means comb filtering and all early reflections are cancelled and I treat the sub-300hz area to get good and FLAT sounding bass. In addition the music opens up and spatial cues, imaging and dynamic effects are heard much better. Monitors, headphones, cars etc do not let sound develop properly. I realize many people may not understand or even want the benefits of all of this. Hence my offer to do it for free. Just send me the stems, BPM and maybe an original for comparison and I will return it all to you with no expectation.
I have done this now for several people and in every case they said I improved their mix. One of the people I helped, whose song had previously been reviewed by Recording magazine, told me he was going to contact the magazine and ask them to review the song again using my new version.
I have some remixes and original compositions I can provide to you as samples of my work as well.
(For reference I use Reaper and can render pretty much any format you want. Except formats that are proprietary to a specific DAW etc)
