crunchysoundbite wrote:Glad you asked, JCP, I was just going to mention I'm a professional B-class (strait truck) driver. I have seen many a bumpy road, and have gotten paid for driving on them. It is a profession I took because I have a very high aptitude and skill level. Once, I was in a driver's lounge, and the topic of discussion was rolling a vehicle. I found I was the only driver in the lounge that hadn't. When I was 15, I had a go cart that I rode on trails that were mostly exclusive to dirt bikes and mini-bikes. I rolled my go cart 6 separate times until I could ride that trail faster than either of those bikes without rolling my go cart that had no brakes.

well it's a sad day when a truckdriver can't get work in the ohio area
are you a teamster?

No, before I was a driver I was in a glass workers union. Another word for union is worthless.

Crunchy, allow me to share some sage advice...

Jobs are like chicks... The more you "want" and seek them, the more they evade you...
So, I'm saying...Just relax...Give your self permission to enjoy the time off...and 'let' the job unfold for you...
Not saying to abandon your post... Keep submitting your resumes and contact info... But don't read anything into if if no bites for a while...
Also, (There is no law on any book, that says its a 'sin' to be unemployed" . You are not less of a person for being unemployed. The thing about unemployment is the connotation that brings... Somehow, people get judgmental and accuse an un-employed person of being lazy, free-loader, etc... I say Phuck em,... Nobody is in your shoes...

I know, you're right Paper. I just had to calm down a while. I bounced from this to that on the web. I got a kick out of some of the things I wrote here, I must admit. But I'm only having fun. Any dislikes, just say so. One moving Co. asked me of my House hold Goods experience. I told her, "Well, At 14 years old I had an antique shop (true) (Turn of the Century Shoppe). She said what do you know about china (wrapping and packing). I told her I probably knew more than most and could probably appraise it. She said, I'm afraid that's not What kind of experience we're looking for. If that is true, why did she then proceed to tell me all about their company, and how many states it's in, how many employees etc... Why should I care if They are not interested in me? :? All I know is this world's gone upside down, and I'm not taking the mark of the beast for nobody. (I didn't tell her that ).
