I considered Buddhism; I used to listen to Alan Watts every Saturday night and it made a lot of sense, except for the part of believing in a messiah. Nearly every religion believes a messiah will come, except for the Christians, who think the messiah was Jesus. What would Buddha do? Nothing, like you said Phil. All he wanted was nothing.

Jesus would probably tell you to stop fighting against the Hispanic immigration inflows.
this would lead to an overwhelming support for christian values and archetypes (south American countries being predominant catholic) , eventually out-voting gays and atheists and other religions.

I was just responding to the question.
I just couldn't help noticing what was coming through in the way of legal immigration.
If you want Obama to pick em that's your choice I suppose.

legal Immigration is fine. I'm all for it, the problem is the 20 million illegals that are here spitting in the face of Uncle Sam! ALL I HEAR is how much better that SH!T HOLE of a country is (mexico) Yet the mexican nationals can't get here fast enough all while trying to turn the U.S. into a third world country like the SH!T HOLE they left. I for one am SICK OF IT!

Illegal immigration is a touchy subject in Texas.
Do I blame them ? No in there shoes I'd want to work to.

BUT

They, even those of good intent are stealing goods and services from those few of us whom actually pay taxes.
We no longer have a hospital in our town.
Why?
Went broke providing care to illegals whom have no intent to pay a dime.
Local school fools just passed another 50 million dollar bond to saddle the few whom actually pay taxes with.
Why?
Illegal aliens children.

Come legal, work honest, pay taxes, I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with you no matter your country of origin.

All good points... But nobody is willing to give up 25 cent oranges, nobody wants to clean their own homes, and nobody is willing to wash dishes, shine shoes or sweep hallways for a living. Face it, we American citizens are very very spoiled.

Jeff, you are one of the rare individuals, who probably maintains a stellar work ethic... Believe me when I say... We are surrounded by lazy -asses... (And I am probably the king of them...) For a brief stint, I worked in a sweat shop where I fused collars for a living , earning @4.25 cents an hour . One hundred people worked the floor on old Singer sewing machines... NONE of them spoke English... The work they did absolutely sucked...and none of my buds would touch those jobs (including mine) .
Most of labor were women, with families they were trying to support across the border. I'm just thinking, if you buy a 40 dollar shirt, its that low in price, because of the cheap labor. If 100 of those workers were like me, that shirt would cost 100.00 dollars.

My argument is that the immigration problem will continue to be a problem until all american citizens take over all those shitty jobs that nobody wants... AND it would also be expected, that the price go up on everything we buy, beucuse no americans would ever settle for a 4.25 cent wage to support an American family...

On one side you have the Libs. that want to increase their voter base. On the other hand you have some conservatives that want the cheap labor to line their pockets with!
I am a carpenter I have worked with them and listened quietly taking in the stories of them sneaking in on trains and having to catch the pregnant woman (anchor babies) as they jumped from the train because it had reached the destination and wasn't stopping. They believe it is their right to come to this country and exploit medical services and anything else they can get! For example do you know how many of them that are drawing social security that hardly and in some instances NEVER paid into the system? I believe illegal immigration is the BIGGEST problem we face as a nation. If you add up all the medicare, social services, Prison costs, insurance claims, criminal activity, cost to school their children, money sent back to Mexico, stolen identities. IMO they are costing this country WAY more than they add. They have an underground economy here that is VERY cash based and they pay VERY LITTLE in taxes! I know I have seen this with MY OWN TWO EYE'S

I dont disagree with anything that you cited here...And In amny ways, I share your frustration about it... I totally resent the free loaders, I also take great issue with the Services that quite frankly are draining this country dry.

But lets look at a 5 Hard facts: (Toward a viable solution)

1) @ 80 percent of the immigrants, do provide viable labor. Meaning, they really are intent on earning their way.
2) American Business are absolutely and unequivocally culpable here. Simply put...they "Hire" the labor
3) Congress is absolutely and unequivocally culpable here. Simply put...they look the other way (to salvage votes)
4) American consumers absolutely and unequivocally culpable here. Simply put...they do not protest the very cheap goods and services.
5) (saving this for last)

Just on these four fact alone, the is no way to miss the obvious possible solutions...

1 & 2) American Businesses need to stop hiring illegal immigrants, and start hiring full citizens, at a wage that allows full citizens to support their families. Likewise, American workers need to embrace the sh*t jobs that are currently taken up by the illegal immigrants.

3) Congress needs to enforce American (legal) hiring practices.
4) Consumers need to stop being cry-babies and get over the fact that a good orange is gonna cost a few dollars and X-Box is gonna run about 1000.00 bucks...



NUMBER 5:) The real reason 20 Million illegal Immigrants are drowning this county...

BIRTH CONTROL: Americans need to start having shit-loads of babies . I mean...we gotta start spitting them out like the US MINT prints dollar bills... I have done my share dog I have 4 kids of my own and 2 stepsons! Now the rest of you GET BUSY!

1) The 80% provide viable labor but at what cost? Down here in H-town they make 9 or 10 bucks an hour and drive $50,000 trucks How do they do that Dog?
2) American businesses can hire teenagers like they did before this plaque came upon our nation.
3) If American citizens WAKE UP and demand politicians do something they will!
4) American consumers are beginning to understand the importance of American made!

Regarding the $1000,00 Xbox if we deport the 15 million illegals our tax dollars will go farther fixing the economy and more americans will go back to work especially if we demand folks on the gubment TIT do some of the remaining jobs that the teenagers aren't capable of. This will solve a TON of problems! It will teach LAZY kids the value of a dollar earned get them in shape and help keep them out of trouble. Thats the way it was when we were kids. If it worked then it CAN work now!

I am sick to death of the REST OF THE WORLD telling me the things that America can and cannot do! I KNOW we can do without a bunch of LAW BREAKING CRIMINAL ALIENS! The most important quality of a candidate in the up coming 2012 election (to me) is where they stand on illegal immigration. IMO that is the solution to about 60% of America's problems!

You know I know a Mexican illegal alien I
met down in Houston in the 90s, he brings
50 to 100lbs of weed with him when he comes
to visit here in the USA, sells it all mails most
of the money home, then he goes on a party,
no holds barred, gets arrested, gets free bus
ticket home, gets money buys more weed
heads back to Houston to do it again, I use
to love to see him here in the states, sometimes
I'd drive down to Houston just to see him.

I think the biggest problem facing this nation is,
the congress, the president, the court system,
the state and city govts, there all on the take,
dems, reps,libs, cons green party, the media.
I believe they've brought our country to a point
where it is unfixable.
