Yeah that's why when they talk about bomb makers missing fingers, I laugh a little.

"They should be missing a whole lot more than a couple of fingers".

(add cheesy arabic accent here) Oh my goodness gracious one of the legs was over here and the other leg was over there! It was terrible the top half of his body was up there hanging on top of that open door!

I like seeing our boys kicking ass. But sometimes I stop and ask myself - do these folks really need killing?

And I know the truth. It's a terrible waste.

Talbot's war code works like this: Knock down our towers and things happen.

Contact Taliban - 'hand over bin laden"
If 'OK'
then War = over
Hang Bin Laden
Else
nuke Tora bora with a medium tactical weapon, vaporinzing bin laden and all his buddies. Some bad press for a couple weeks. Dead- almost all bad guys.
War = over.

War is a racket. We not playing to win. These things used to be called 'cabinet wars' where rich politicians had wars to entertain the people and enrich their sponsors. Nothing has changed since Smedly Butler (Gen. US Marines) made his famous 'racket' comment back before WW2

I know it's a terrible waste to use an expensive hellfire rocket to grease a few 1.98$ terrorists with homemade bombs. lol

They should have just used the 30mm chain gun, the ammo is cheaper..

I don't enjoy the fact they suffer, they just need to expire.

Suddenly this feels like a PTSD sandwich, no bread, no mayo.

I understand the hate for the bombers. I sympathize with the victims. As outspoken Americans it is easy to wear our hearts on our sleeves. After all, it is what's left of our freedom, so far. It is wisdom to our enemies we must demonstrate so that all can be free from the tyranny that we all face, whether political, religious, or any other man made reasons that bring us to war and death. Perhaps we could sell firecrackers cheap to those nations that feel nothing for empathy, only shorten the wicks a bit. Ever had a firecracker go off in your fingers. You never forget. It is a feeling you don't want to happen even to your worst enemies. What?, No emoticon for shock and awe?

That's why If I were king for a day, I'd write in a new law that requires Congress members to serve, militarily, on the front lines, during any war. You'd be amazed at how quickly the diplomatic efforts would elevate, across the globe.

The truth is, that soldiers will ALWAYS use the biggest bang they can get - the other side might shoot back. A 12 year old with his AK on 'spray' might get you by accident!

In the Rhodesian Army we were much amused by the poster that showed a Hunter Jet and said, "Why call a thirty thousand dollar air strike when a little recon might do the trick."

Why? Because a single sniper can kill you. If I could call tac nukes to save my ass and my pals, i would.

Welcome home Troops! Merry Christmas! If you could see my bowing head or greatest appreciation. I cannot express my gratitude. History may or may not prevail you in the end. That does not matter. Mission complete, Job- Well Done. Thank you.

The war is over. Christmas is not. What is your most expressive Christmas Cheer you'd like to share? Christmas past, Christmas present, Christmas you that want this Christmas this year to be remembered? This is the holiday to remember, and to be remembered. What will you do to bring this Christmas Home? Is it my business, perhaps not. In that case, don't post. I asked my wife last night what to do for an extremely short list this year. She said candy. Hershey has a very good introduction this year. Hershey has those Cherry Cordial kisses that are WHOA! GOOO,OOOOOOOOD! As Andy Griffith used to say. I know, I'm under fire. Who quits their job 2 weeks from Christmas? I do, and I don't apologize. Except to my family. I have a back up plan. It doesn't involve hand outs. I, with the help of our Lord Christ, will provide a very merry Christmas. I can be as humbug as the next guy. I love the nativity. A little dab'le do ya, goes a long way. Commercialized Christmas just rubs me wrong. Ingeniouse is that idea that comes at no expense that comes to those with true Christmas spirit, that never get forgotten. Post post, I am not realy seaking your answers. It is part of the Christmas Spirit Challenge to get it on your own. Good Luck to you All on your Christmas ventures!!
