Jw, you are gonna laugh your @ss off at this one!

Remember the Night Ranger, Foreigner, Journey concert?

Well? Me, My wife, my 31 year old son, My 29 year old son & his wife all set out on a mission! Can you guys tell how much I like Journey?

We showed up at the Pavillion it was a great day! everything started out NORMAL? I really enjoyed Night Ranger! so far so good Right!
WELL Foreigner took the stage! At this point we were a little intoxicated but it was ALL Good! after that I realized That Foreigner was a COVER BAND. it was at this point I could feel My blood pressure starting to rise! It was then I noticed the crowd in front of us were all standing through the entire concert. I love my wife. She is a vertically challenged woman she couldn't see sh!t. In my moment of frustration I threw my empty beer can in an attempt to get the young @ssholes up front to set the PHUK down!

Folks I am 53 and in pretty good shape for my age! Thank god there are folks paid to watch out for drunken anti social morans like I was acting that night. Really I don't think my empty beer can could have injured anyone but Oh well. It was at this point I thought someone was falling on me from behind! It turned out to be a couple of STEROID INDUCED Good OLD BOY'S that snuck up on me from behind. Thank god my 31 and 29 year olds went to get drinks. My boys DWARFED the Steroids!

The bottom line is I got Ejected from the concert and I never got to see Journey!

I wouldn't have expected that from you!!!

I'd love to see Night Ranger, there were supposed to come to a venue in a small town the next town over from me, but that fell through somehow. I'd consider driving to Pittsburgh or maybe Columbus to see them, but only if my wife and I were going to make it an overnight thing.

Mick Jones is still in Foreigner, is he not? Even if so, you're right, he's probably the only original member left...

It sucks that you didn't get to see Journey, but couldn't you have hung out a while and then presented your ticket stub and got back in just avoiding those guards? I really don't know how the process of getting ejected works as it has never happened to me, do they take your ticket stub or mark it with something showing you can't get back in? I guess, in short, I'm asking how would anyone at the gate know you from anybody else? Do you get arrested?

LOL! I just chalked it up to the fact I was acting like a dumb@ss and deserved what I got! I didn't get arrested they just roughed me up and through my @ss out! In hindsight It was totally out of character for me. I guess thats what happens when a diabetic has too much to drink! I discovered that night I am just too old to be going to concerts That is the LAST one I will attend! I didn't try to get back in as I would have been arrested if had tried! I could hear Journey playing Seperate Ways as I was walking to the car!

I've been there too, it gets really bad
when they throw you out and you land
on your back out in the parking lot.
It's when you get up and run back in
to get some more they press trespassing
charges against you, and even worse when
they show up in court to testify against you.

I've gotten better, but not much, had some
boys going to beat me up in the parking lot
at guitar center. They changed there mind
when I got the tire tool out of the trunk,
and started referring to them as less then
men, while my old ladies hollering at me
to get back in the car. I think she's the smart
one in the family.

When ya get thrown out, you just were having too much fun..lol

(If no one had to bleed/get arrested, it was still a good night.)

In 1976 I drove my 63 Pontiac Safari Station Wagon to a
Bluegrass Festival called Stompin 76 that was near the N. Carolina border.
Once I got good and drunk and danced all night I had to water my lily.
So I stumbled back in the woods and ran up on a girl peein. She
screamed and yelled at me and then some big biker came running up
and beat me silly then threw me into the muddy pond that was on the farm land there.

It Sucked but I Love that memory. Here it is.

Haley, Years ago Thin Lizzy was opening for Journey in Memphis, at the old coliseum, My buddy, well hes my best friend and the drummer in my band, for some reason he says lets get up front, now we were way in the top, and probably way to intoxicated to, so here we go over the lower rail headed toward the stage and these guys basically tackled us and walked us out the door. This was probably 1978, so I got all that stuff out of my system years ago.

You would think I had as well! My kids were laughing their @sses off at the old codger! They thought it was hilarious "my old man got thrown out of the concert" Those guys were good they catch you off guard. They sneek up behind you and have you in an armlock in a second! They had my left arm twisted and they controlled me that way! Got to take care of that left fretting hand!

I never realized that the little line on the ticket, "no pass outs" meant i couldnt get back in I thought it meant dont pass out!

But When I lived in Houston, I went and saw the Rolling Stones at the Astrodome... (ZZ Top And Fabulous Thunderbirds opened the show)

I was sitting in the upper mezzanine section (Not quite the nose-bleeds) and during the show, somebody from the Boxes above pitched out a 50 pound bag of doritos (From the vendor supply) ...

Man... That thing flew down like a damn asteroid and hit the crowd at the bottom... I mean chips exploded in every direction! It was the funniest damn thing I ever saw... I couldn't stop laughing for about 20 minutes...

You don't have to be small for that to happen!

As stated, I've never been kicked out of a concert, but I was almost kicked out of a bar once.

I was seventeen, but not only did I look older, my drink was also straight gin, so everyone just kind of assumed I was old enough...most of the time. Anyway, I'm at this bar sipping my gin and the Patriots' game is on, I forget who, but someone dropped a catchable ball and I yelled, "Pull that mother****** in!"

A guy who I still call, "Brutus," when I see him looks at me from the end of the bar and points to a sign on the wall, "There's no profanity to be used in this establishment," he said. He looked pretty unassuming, just hunched over what I took to be a mixed drink, but must have just been pop.

I didn't mean to be an @$$hole, but it slipped out, "In a F***ing bar!?"

Within three seconds, before I could even try to get out of the stool, Brutus had me in a bearhug with my feet dangling off the ground. Mind you, I weighed about twenty less pounds, but I was still 6'4" and safely over 200.

Anyway, he's carrying me to the door, and I'm yelling, "Put me down! I'll leave on my own! I have to take a leak!"

Some other guy went upside my head from behind...

"Yeeeowwwttccchhh, I didn't deserve that!"

Brutus sarcastically asked, "Do you still have to take a leak?"

He was still carrying me, but somehow I managed to plant my feet and said, "Yes, I assure you that being smacked in the head did nothing to mitigate my need to use the restroom, and thank you."

Brutus started laughing so hard that he dropped me, so I started heading for the exit on my own not wanting to wait around to see who Brutus' backup was.

"Wait, wait, wait, don't go," said the bartender, David, "Greg's been the bouncer here for three years and I have NEVER seen him laugh. You can stay, just no more cussing."

The guy that smacked me in the head even apologized, of course, Brutus (I still call him that when I see him) was upset at him for interfering because he was just a patron and Brutus is paid muscle.

I find it odd for it to be socially acceptable to strike a restrained man in the head but not to curse?

I think I'd stay away from that establishment. Or perhaps visit just long enough to smack the cheap shot artist with a bottle while he's takin a piss.
Just to see how he likes a taste of his own morality.

I think he got a pass because he was a regular there and I'd never been there before. I became a regular but never talked to that guy, he was an @$$hole anyway, even excusing smacking me.

It's closed now because the owner retired, there's still a bar there, but it's completely different.

It was a great place, that's why I went back. The prices were all normal, but it had wireless Internet (still not really expected in Sports Bars) before most coffee shops did. I don't know who the owners connections were, but the place had LCD HDTV's before most people KNEW WHAT THEY WERE!!!

There were other things that made it great...
