Absolutely Bob!

We were designed to walk and or run between 6 - 7 varied small meals a day. And I believe to be awake nor asleep for no longer than 5-6 hours at a time.
We ( modern man ) live in an artificial bubble. It has it's benefits as well as it's drawbacks.

However, analysis of prehistoric natural mummies ( such as the so called ICE MAN ) would indicate
that these various disease process have been with us all along as well.

An employee of mine used to do some archaeology and was on a dig unearthing people from about 8,000 years ago. Some of them still had food contents in their stomachs. The bulk of their diet was mice and wild garlic. They appeared healthy. I can't remember how long they estimated their lifespan. But I'll bet people from hundreds or thousands of years ago would be horrified what we consume today. Who knows how many carcinogenic compounds are in our bodies? Walking clears poisons out of our system

That is scary Bob. U2 JW and everyone else.
I hate to say it but do everything you can to stay away from the meds.
I found my way to stay in the 110/70 range (took me a year)but I had the same scare over 2 years ago. It wouldn't work for most of you but good luck finding what does work. Bob your on the right track. Stay away from the meds, and don't get lazy.

I hate to run ... I studied Gung Fu for over twenty years so I would not have to run.

The first damn thing my Sifu made me do ... RUN !

Bob,

Take care of yourself. Google mice and garlic recipes and learn how to make them. After all, they'll try to eat your food every chance that they get.

I would suggest purchasing one of those traps that don't kill the mice from your local hardware store. That way you can fatten them up first.

Let us know how that works out for you. :)

Whenever you think life is handing you a bowl of sh¡t, try to put yourself in my position!. My surgeon feels that I'm able to still work and won't give me the opportunity to collect disability as of yet! So basically, I have to go through life trying to work my ass off as a left handed , one armed gimp in order to take home a check. This is gonna be one of the most challenging times of my life and I'm in my early 50's. gonna be a tough road ahead of me but I have to earn a paycheck. Only hope I don't destroy my right "titanium" arm as I can't bear to have to endure that operation again! Count your blessings,Bob. I really am scared shitless going to a physical job every single day and not being able to ever play again! :?

That's B.S. Kerry, you can get disability. Find someone who will work "with" you.
I've known of several people who recieved disability income even though they didn't really need it - so if they can get it, you should be able to get it.
If nothing else, just play the "I can't function psychologically anymore". Bingo, mental disability!

Sorry... it just makes me mad that plenty of people get help that don't need it...

Thank you for your advice. I'm trying my best as I've worked on th books doing the same physical work for over 3 decades! I did go to visit my workplace last week to say hi and realized there's no way I can even get my arm into the press and be a productive employee, I relayed this to my lawyer and insisted that he put me in for permanent disability as I've been paying into the system for most o my life! I'm not a bum looking for a handout...I'm a human being who's looking for some sort of compensation so I'm not penniless, I hope and pray that my lawyer pulls through and I can collect what a U.S. citizen is allowed under my circumstances! Finger crossed!

Stay strong Crip it may be a bumpy ride ahead.
I've watched 2 people in my life apply for disability and it seems they turn everyone down at first.
One friend was involved in a motorcycle accident it took her 2.5 years before she was approved.
The other began experiencing back pains, he was eventually diagnosed with MS. It also took 2 years before he was approved.
It's the system.

Hey guys, I know I haven't been around, been busy.

I don't eat red meat and I try to eat healthy - never works around the holidays, but I'm maintaining my weight loss I did earlier.

It's amazing that eating a ruby red grapefruit every morning can do for your health. Grapefruit can reduce your cholesteral up to 40% and I'm proof.

Two years ago, my cholesteral was 240 and I got in trouble, so I started exercising more and changed my diet and got it down to 214 last year, but my HDL was still 155. I started eating a grapefruit a day in February, not only does it ward off most colds, flus and other illnesses by boosting your immune system, when I got my blood checked in August my cholesteral was 154!!!! A point lower than my total HDL. And get this, my HDL was 99! It should be under 100. Of course, I lost 17 pounds, but I think the grapefruit is what did it.

But here's the kicker, you can't eat grapefruit and take the cholesteral meds - they react with one another, so if you want to try the grapefruit route, you have to get off the meds. If you aren't on the meds, try the grapefruit for six months and have your blood work done, you'll see a big difference.

Kerry, you can so get disability. I got mental disability because I was pretty messed up and when the State tried to tell me I coudl work, I went before the judge who got so see what a lunatic I was, so I got it. The problem with disability is they make EVERYONE fight them, because of all the boobs that used the system. So go to work, make a video of yourself trying to do your old job and even prepare demonstrations for the judge to show that it's impossible for you to do what you did before.

Also, sign up for the Department of Rehabilitation. This will also show the court that you aren't just some lazy ass trying to milk the system. Most state programs will pay for you to go to school and it will buy you some time while you're fighting for your SSI. You can pick any field you want and they'll pay for your schooling, transportation, uniforms and all that. School helped me get my mental faculties back in order. So look that up. If your quack of a doctor is giving you sh*t, get another one, he's not the be all end all. You have to fight unfortunately. Good luck.

Lunatic? Crazy check?

I'm a musician who sits alone and practices
alone damn near everyday. I don't get out
much anymore and my people skills are lacking.
Wonder if they'd give me a check. You know I
never asked. I'm playing and composing at a
high level, nothing more than a lounge act.
