Thanks! I've actually been dwelling on the snare idea. I'm thinking a metal thimble on the metal grille of the mic might work. I'm happy with the "kick". A clicker of some kind would work but I'd like to keep the actual motion just a tap for ease of rhythm. Ideas?

Awesome as always, but I noticed the audio is just a tad before the video. Maybe delay the audio so they sync up?

If you're going one instrument at a time go with what goes with.

Indeed I do. I'm the one who unclogs it though.
It is useless for us to have the plunge stopper in. That's what it clogs on. My wife is ready to puke if she touches a hair not connected.
