Former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore died.

He played in a prog band called Coliseum II I think it was, and for you blues fans he had that album with a song Still Got The BLues that is just awesome.

Never did like Thin Lizzy. I just don't understand why some local bands don't get airtime and thy did with some of the cheeseyest songs on air.??? But, if that's your style, I can respect that

If all you're going by is what is played on the radio you don't have the whole picture. "Live and Dangerous" is one of the best live recordings in rock and roll. Here's one I bet you don't know:

Crunchy if you had ever seen Thin Lizzy live you would understand, they were an awesome band during thier heyday in the 70s, one of the first groups I ever heard doing twin harmony leads in concerts.

I saw them a couple of times, and thier recordings dont do them justice. I always loved playing Jailbreak, its got a great break in the middle that in my mind reminds me of breaks by bands like Judas Priest, and Iron Maident a few years later.

Plus Phil Lynott was a cool bassist/singer/songwriter in my mind. His one stage style was just the essence of cool to me, but thats just me.

To me I dont know why you comment on a thread if you have nothing to add, just because something isnt your cup of tea is not a reason to comment.

Yeah I was talking to Lynard Dylan about Gary Moore a few weeks back, I have a Music DVD of him, and if you haven't heard him play since Thin Lizzy your missing out on a Awesome Blues player.
Like SRV he had a style of his own and he did play repetitive tracks from album to album.
There is a few youtubes of him with interviews, but he really lived to play. Gary Moore seemed to be one that walked talked and slept guitar.
Despite his passing in Spain with a female companion he had one of his guitars with him. Autopsy later posted it was a Heart attack.
Gary Moore Had a defined tone that many sought after and he could hang a never ending note too.

I surf youtube looking for inspiration from time to time. I have yet to hear a guitar player/musician I can relate to as much as Gary Moore! Bugera, that DVD you have is it the one where he appears to be performing in a club and BB King sets in for a couple of songs? If so that is an awesome performance and DVD!
