The Seattle sound has funk?!?!
Did i miss something?
Not the 'Funk' like Bootsy, But if you play Bass guitar and you cant hear or feel the funk, Then you are missing it all. What do you hear? Rock, Blues, Noise??? I really dont care what you hear my friend. Dont be so f***ing picky!
Well then don't ever use the word Funk again, because you obviously don't know what Funk is (no, your underwear don't count).
Now if you'd have said a 'driving bass' i would have ageed.
You must be new at this music thing

This board is a perfect example of a non-scene. A guy happens to use a word in an offbeat way and he gets jumped. 'Funk' is a word that also describes a feeling, not just a style of music. I would have to say that Kurt Cobain was in a deep, dark and desperate funk. I doubt if any of us folks are all that much of an authority on the word anyway. Time would be better served discussing how to promote and support each other's music. Pitiful.

Given your avatar, you'll make Anton LaVey proud.
jimmydanger i agree, if this was anything other than a music forum then funk would have a different meaning. 8)

Sure can relate to that 'jimmy danger'. I know what you see & feel as a musician Brother. The love for music, Talent, Our originals, Covers, Life, Individuals, Family, Friends, Our world, The good, The bad, The ugly' etc. So we all must strive on. As we all, Are who we are. Different & unique. Strong, Confident, Knowing where we belong, etc. Life is, A blink of the eye. The heart, Love, all above.... A nobody has the same value as, The best of somebody. Humanity?....If Only?.... Sincerely, The Preacher.... A nobody....The Real Deal.

Well Lonnie, after damaging my eyes on your "myspace" page, it's clear that my arguing or matching wits with you would be in vain, as you're unarmed.
Give Tom my best.

It's "PEACEMAKER", you fool! Not piecemaker. Sounds like you are to bake a cake/pie!
