Ron Paul loves you.

Maybe because he was actually a Libertarian first, Ron Paul is one the few Republicans not stupid, full of sh*t, or F*CKING NUTS.

I tried in 2006, for the Green Party. Hey, Bush made ANYTHING possible.

In my district, there was an unopposed Democratic congressman who was also a big Bush supporter. I figured that at least SOMEBODY should run against that guy, to give voters SOME choice.
But, I did not anticipate human pettiness and stupidity.
I underestimated how much meaningless gestures matter to people.
The editor/publisher of a paper I wrote for in the 90's was a Green Party organizer. So, I figured that would help me. But, it really didn't.
Anyway, I offered myself as a candidate but, on principle, I wouldn't formally join the party.
Ralph Nader ran three times as their presidential candidate without joining. So, I thought it wouldn't be a problem.
Hoo-Boy!
It ended up being the most controversial stance anybody was taking. They stopped the entire proceedings in Detroit just to debate it. They decided to take it to the caucus in Lansing.
I had no way to get there.
So, the head of Michigan Green Party LOANED ME HIS CAR!
I did not know this person at all and he entrusted me with his almost new car and a full tank of gas.
WOW!
I tried to explain further in Lansing that I supported the party's positions. But, I have an aversion to joining ANYTHING.
Signing a piece of paper wouldn't change anything at all.
Lots more arguments and debate among them ensued.
Only two other people from my district were present. It was basically up to them, or they could choose to let everyone there take a vote on it.
Then one of them threw us for a loop.
He dropped out of the race he was already in and decided to run against me.
He had no idea who the incumbent was or anything.
And THIS guy had previously been in TEN different political parties.
Yeah, THERE'S loyalty!
In the end, I had nearly as many supporters as opponents. It was close.
But, eventually, they nominated him... and he blew the election...big time. No effort made at all.
But, what really made me shake my head at the whole thing was that, AFTER the nomination for that race, there was a guy wanting to run in a different race. He was a card-carrying member of the Socialist Party. They had the same misgivings about him not being a member as they did with me. But, he just signs a piece of paper that says he's a member of the Greens now, and he sailed right into the nomination with no problem.
Does that change anything about him?
Does he suddenly alter his entire belief system with a stroke of a pen?
I think not.

My IQ was 150 last time I was tested.
The standard of what is considered genius varies, some as low as 140 or as high as 180.
I do not know if I even believe in such a thing.
The psychologist who tested me compared me to the title character in "Good Will Hunting". The point he was trying to make, I think, was that although I may be intelligent I am held back by emotional problems. Which sounds about right.

All IQ can measure (On a good day) is the rate of one's ability to 'learn'. The higher the IQ, the faster it is presumed that the individual can assemble an assimilation of facts within a given amount of time. The lower the IQ, the less the ability in the same amount of time. Piaget contends That given enough time , most everybody can learn. I dont know what My IQ is , But I smoked the sh*t of the last 'genius" that interviewed me for a nice paying job. He got laid off recently... It sucks to be him.

There is also an Emotional Quotient (EQ) , which studies now point out, has as much to do with learning ability. Fear based tactics accelerate the learning of certain facts. If you get zapped enough times, you will change and modify your behavior (Which is driven often by emotion) . This assumes you are a 'normal' person.

Now here is a factoid to consider. A genius would have figured about about 5 posts ago that when you deliberately slush other posters with caustic and abrasive insinuations toward them personally (AKA attacks) , the conditioned emotional response you can rely on getting is one of caustic and abrasive insinuations back at ya... Like wise, Kindness would beget kindness.. A real Genius would have spotted that long ago. Know who the genius is here...? Its actually Glen... Wanna know why? Because despite your caustic and highly arrogant attitude, he's the only guy here who's reached out with an olive branch to you.

I would normally suggest that you consider talking that cue, and learn from it... But in your case, your narcissism gets the best of you... The montage in your collection of videos, speaks volumes to this condition... and I still think you have sociopath tendency... You need to stay with that psychologist. I Think you are a dangerous person...

You haven't known Glen very long, have you?
You sure don't know ME.
While Glen's recent change of attitude is welcome, his past behavior demands that it should be taken with a grain of salt.
No offense Glen.
I appreciate the gesture.
But, I've seen people do a 180 like his before and (especially those with real sociopathic tendencies) it ended up not meaning much.

Ron Paul for me as well.

Since both parties are corrupt and tied tightly to the Banksters I will only vote for people who swear they will cut back govt.

I'm somewhat bemused by the many people who think that elections matter - they haven't in my life time.

Why should anyone be naive enough to believe that the solution to the problems created by govt should be more govt and more taxes?

They cannot be trusted wtih money and power.

Talbot's prediction: even the clowns in DC and NY can see that it is falling apart more rapidly then they envisioned. Only the pretty much nationalized and militarized police stand between them and the well deserved consequences of their actions. Hence: WAR. Soon. Not just the little tidbit cabinet wars they having been playing at for the last ten years but a big one.

Lots of excuses then for whatever criminal, tyrannical actions they feel like taking.

Cut WHERE, more importantly!
Y'know a lot of the problem isn't TOO MUCH government exactly.
Its about PRIORITIES.
A LOT of problems could be dealt with without raising taxes one iota.
Just change priorities.
Starving social services and gutting regulations to spend more money on war and corporate welfare isn't just amoral, it's STUPID.

I don't know Glen at all...But I am familiar enough with his prose ...from which, a reasonable impression of style and character can be deduced.
Like wise...I don't have to specifically know YOU to recognize what your general slant is. In fact, I know enough to conclude you aint no genius...There are too many things missing... The manner in which you articulate and in how your logic on issues has been expressed.. What I see from your posts, is a desperate person, emulating a tortured soul, for the attention. You probably got picked on extensively in school...which is why you don the conceit now... (They call it overcompensating)
You are grossly anti-social, and in fact, your hatred people at large is patently obvious. Tell me, did you secretly applaud the columbine shootings, or were you overt about it? When 911 happened, did you insist that its was America's fault, or did you embellish on a govt conspiracy theory? You wish you could be a humanitarian...but the truth is, aside from yer hate...ya got nothing else to give to humanity...
