Hi, guys.
I pretty much know how their soiftware here works; I'd been been here for about 3 years before I left.
Here's what I did.
I had deleted my account.
Then, quite a few months later, I stopped in and saw a post I wanted to respond to.
But - at the time (dunno 'bout now), you couldn't post without an account.
Well; crap . . . i just moved on to the next page.
Eventually - couple more months later - I reopened an account so I could post - something about tuning, I think . . . "B string?"

Anyway, I wasn't hiding, so I opened an account with the same name I'd used before, "RhythmMan."
But I didn't know if I'd want to stay, so when I opened the account I appended "- guest' to my name.
So my new account name was "RhythmMan - guest."

Airweaver - I went back and deleted the name "guest," just keeping "Rhythmman."
The change showed on my page: the word "guest" does not appear anywhere on my profile page, under any tab, anywhere.
But "guest" still appears in my forum posts.

Scott: I tried fixing this several times before, doing all that their software would allow me to.
But I went back and followed your directions to the letter. It should have worked, but it didn't.

I think Bandmix would be better if the guys who ran it were replaced by you guys.

On my account page it lists my profile page as:

That is as it should be.

paperdog: i didn't get the "404" error" you mentioned.

But if I click on the acount thing under my post - it tries to go to "RhythmMan-guest." which is the account I changed.
Crap.
Bandmix doesn't want to answer, and I think their software needs something plugged into it to fix my problem.
Dunno; let me try some other things.

I know I had problems with the dumb avatar thing myself a couple of times now.

My memory is a little on the chucka-lucka side, but I attribute it to "selective perception".

Ok so now we know that bandmix has to futz with your account now at least.

Bandmix finally replied, yesterday.
I used the information they gave me, verbatim, to sign in.
It didn't work, and I told them.
They replied . . . to delete my cookies, and be sure to use F5 to refresh, and other things which I'd already done.
Nothing worked, and I've wasted over an hour, now, trying to fix a problem with my Bandmix profile.


And - for what?
Who has this kind of time, in a day?
Maybe they'll fix this problem; maybe not.
But I can not.

It would have been faster to delete the acount and open a new one!
What a waste of time I could have spent recording, or writing . . .

Everywhere in my account I'm listed as "RhythmMan."

Also - everything in my account shows that I have a picture posted to my profile. But my picture will not appear.

I think they're just now becoming aware of a problem with their 2 different sign-in screens.

Bandmix replied to one of my requests for help, but not the subsequent request.
It's interesting that - after I'm ALREADY signed in (and posting to the forum) that if I want to try fixing my account - it asks me to sign in.
