No, THAT is really a weak retort.

When you tell someone to just shut-up (as Bill O'Reilly frequently does), you've already ceded your point and and lost the debate.

How do we really know what to vote in when the problem really isn't discussed?
The big topics will likely be war, medical care and immigration for the next big election.

If nothing else, OWS, if it is sustained long enough, will force discussion.

the biggest money has the loudest voice & the most political influence. the politicians are but puppets to the corporate & investor communities. so if you want your voice to be heard & your vote to count then make a billion dollars & shove your agenda through , thats american liberty today

dude - you need to get this Republican sh*t out of your head. You're shooting at a straw man. Who cares a tinker's damn for the Republicans?

Same as the democrats. You might have noticed that policies under Clinton, Bush and zero were the same: steal all you can, blow up as much of the world as possible, increase the police powers of the corporate state.

Suckers go on about the two party system - well, I'm for it. Just don't see a second party.

I like Zero though - that guy is such a doctrinaire marxist that even the sleeping sheep are begining to see it.

The problem is that words mean something different to the left. Take 'tolerance' for instance. That means that only left wing drivle is tolerated. Has it ever crossed your mind that Republicans play along with that same nonsense? Consider the ridiculous phrase "loyal opposition."

It's no longer fixable. Those naive college kids and their radical communist buddies at Occupy Everywhere ought to ask themselves why Zero, Pelosi and Boehner all claim to support them. But they won't.
But if they did - they'd know those clowns support them Because they share the master's dream of more power for the govt.

I just hope we can put humpty back together again after our govt scum are done playing with the big corps to suck every ounce of money and power they can from the husk of a once prosperous country.

Doctinaire Marxist? Now who's shooting a straw man?

I only mention the Republicans because at least they openly admit that they think "Corporations are people" and that if anybody gets sick without insurance we should "Let them die."
Clinton and Obama are sorry excuses for Democrats anyway, both are more conservative than Richard Nixon was.
At least there are a FEW Democrats left worth giving a f**k about, and maybe Ron Paul.
Sorry that I did not offer the Libertarians, Greens, or SOCIALIST party for your consideration. My bad. But, I hardly think anyone on Bandmix, besides Jimmy and myself, would vote for them.
But, if you don't support them, and you won't support ANY Democrats, what are you left with?
Repuglicans.
And if you don't support ANYBODY, guess who STILL wins?
Repuglicans.
Since at least the late 1970's it has been Republican political strategy to suppress voting.
Why?
When fewer voters show up at the polls, their fanatical base ensures that THEY WIN.
When a REAL MAJORITY of voters show up, who haven't drank the Kool-Aid, they get their asses handed to them.
This is partly why wealthy conservative campaign donors hedge their bets and also support the most right-wing Dems they can find.
They try to buy both sides and keep third options out of the picture.

Mike post one clip of Bill O'reilly telling some one to STFU. You have the talent to dig that one up. Please backup your words,or else you are just as bad as the liberal media that you espouse.

I think every one here pretty much called you out. That doesn't mean you are a bad person, you just are to busy listening to political BULLSHIT!!!!

Why you gotta hitch-hike on my words...(after the fact) Oh...I remember why... You take, borrow, even steal,, and give nothing back but weak anecdotal scene scapes to speak for you. Never mind how narrow your messages are,, I just wish you could come up with original thought... :P

Your logic about 'Shut-Up.. only applies when an opposing side actaullay "has" something to say... In this case there is nothing to cede toward... since the occupiers here really have nothing to say. If I tell em to shaddup, its only cause they make a lotta noise, like the neighbors' pets.

One thing I learned is...
Politics is no place for honest people.

I'm voting for Ron Paul, even if he doesn't end up on the ballot. (I'll write him in.)

Ron Paul loves you.
