Far as I'm concerned Neanderpaul is the man to talk to about loopers.
I've seen him live ... he has his poop in a group man.

Contact Paul, I tryed for a while to use one to do rythyms while I did leads, but we arent consistent enough with our meter, so it didnt work for me live. SO I traded mine off, I do have the Line 6 Digital Delay modeler which has about a 8 second or 16 second loop, but lately I havent used it much, whatever you do if you are going to use it live you want a tempo switch so you can adjust the repeats on the fly.
Good Luck
Neaderpaul is your guy on here for this info. Ive seen him live also and its amazing what he does. You might send him a pm

pretty cool , just now sat & watched your videos , looks like the boss is the one to go with ? nice , you make it look ez
I actually use the boss as a dedicated drum looper now. In the first link that's all I had.
In the third link I use the boss to loop the drums. Then it runs through the mixer to the jamman. The boss has 5 1/2 minutes of loop time. The digitech has an hour and a half AND it connects to the computer by usb! that is a huge advantage.
The boss can record shorter loops - maybe 5 seconds. And it can play in reverse. The digitech can't do that.
