YOU PIG! I'll settle for brunettes, blondes and red heads.

For me one guitar is more than enough,,,,,,,,

To get me into trouble with one brunette.

So George, how does she feel and play in comparison to your LP Goddess? I am curious because I really have my eye on the Ultra III
Oh yeah, they don't have an emoticon for drooling or salivating

She feels solid Jeff. I'd only received her a couple hours before rehearsal and I just had time to drop the action about 6/64 @ the 12th and tweak the intonation to " close enough for now ".
Plan to put my strings on her tomorrow and finish the set up so I hate to give a full critique just yet.

I will say this much though.

The neck, despite being painted felt really good and the frets are well set without any "edges" to drag on like some of the other guitars I've had.
Hand positioning on the pick guard was a little odd for me as well as the Goddess has none.
The pick ups gave me plenty of gain for my Carvin amp to play well with. The tone on the bridge was quite crisp and a little brighter than that of my Goddess and perhaps a little fatter in the mids as well.
I'd say the Goddess definitively has advantage in the bass growl.
You know that full rich sound with the distorted bar chords.
EPI was a little more difficult to bend, and the sustain was not as clearly defined ... this could be a string issue too I hope, so we will see.

The boys were impressed. Especially Eric and Steve as the guitar sounded really good with enough difference in the tonal quality that they want me to get an A/B box so I can alternate from the EPI to the GIBSON.

My wife did not complain too much when she saw how pretty this little guitar is. Especially for a " Mint Used " Guitar that cost less than 1/3 of what I paid for the Gibson.
As a matter of fact she took the picture I posted.

Damn man, now I'm rambling ... must be the Pina' Colada my wife made me.

George - do you think you could have your wife call mine and talk a little sense to her?

She forbade me to buy my strat. Which I did anyway. When I got home she should have had a shot of bourbon poured to help me celebrate but instead put the freeze on me. <sigh>

We won't talk about her reaction when I bought my Marshall.

Ultimately though, my charm is irrestible and she got past it.

That's so funny man.

Our band has a running inside joke about my wife's complaining about the constant flow of " mystery boxes that just show up on the porch "

LOL, George what do you think an equipment trailer is for! To hide all the new boxes! When I was really buying lots of gear we had a garage at a friends we used for about 4 years to practice in, when he moved and I brought stuff home, there was hell to pay! LOL

Now why didn't I think of that ? 8)

Worked on the set up more today and am quite pleased with the results.
I had to maintain the action a little higher than it is on my Gibson.

She is a little harder to play than my Gibson in that I have to be more definite and intentional in my fretting technique.
Not sure why it is as it is, but really don't think this is a bad thing.
My Goddess has a habit of allowing me to be a little lazy and still sounding good.

With the new D'Addario nickle wound .010/.046 installed. She most definitely has a brighter sound all around than my Gibson.
And having the dual volume and tone control pots vs the master volume and tone pots on my Goddess is also more versatile in the simple guitar straight to amp mode I prefer playing.
