I was just watching Triumph Live in Halifax. I was never a big Triumph fan back when they were popular. Upon watching this concert I could not believe how moved I was. These guys are phenominally talented.

Anyone who knows me from posting on Bandmix knows I am always harping on the quality of music these days. Here is my point. YOu may not like Triumphs music, but geez can they play and IMO this is what rock music is missing today.

I think their first album in the US was a compilation of their first three releases in Canada. I had it, I think it was called Rock n Roll Machine. They were awesome for a 3 piece, I saw them in Memphis a couple of times before their radio hits. Thanks for reminding me of them, I may have to dig some of that music out again and see how its held up.

Check out live in Halifax. I think it is better then the US festival peformance. The tune Allied Forces just kills.

I guess they are under rated. No one but myself and JW even care to comment!

i do not think they are underrated, because i did not think they were that good a band.

of course they had some great songs-- "fight the good fight" is a classic.

but i had TWO Triumph compilations and found them very boring, monotonous, and not willing to explore or expand. their lyrics werent exactly interesting, either.

not making a scene here, but hey, music's all subjective-- its all opinions.
