It is easier to fool a lie detector test than you think. There are all sorts of techniques from regulating breathing, to a tack in your shoe.
Yes. Like George Costanza said on Seinfeld "It's not a lie if YOU believe it."

I took one for a job, once, and decided to screw around with them.
I'd previously worked with meditation, and a few different types of biofeedback mechanisms, so I knew what I was doing.
.
. . . (sorry, I just deleted this part) . . . .
.
It confused the hell out of them.
Everything was backwards.
I asked them 'How'd I do?"
They said, "You passed just fine. You were a little nervous, but you passed ok."
.
He he he . . .

Wegman, you said, "Like trying to find some band members?"
,
No, no, I said Violent, not FUTILE.
Sheesh, looking for compatible, talented, available, nearby musicians (to play something other than standard covers) has been a forlorn waste of time . . .

Music is quite an energy, and it can do strange things to people. Back when I was in a metal band (age 20) they decided they wanted to try two guitarists instead of just one. So they auditioned for a rhythm guitarist. Guy shows up and we play a few tunes, you can see he and the other guitarist are sort of getting the feel for each other. Then, for some ungodly reason, we start playing Stairway to Heaven (which wasn't even in our repetoire). Well the celebratred Jimmy Page solo comes up and they both try to play it. Sounds like sh*t, we stop, and our original guitarist yells at the new guy saying he has no idea how to play it. The auditioning guy says "f**k you man, I was playing this when you were still learning Little Black Egg". That's it - our guitarist puts his guitar down and leaps at the guy with his hands on his throat...drum equipment crashes, we have to pull them apart.
I think I can now see one of the reasons that music stores posted a big sign near their guitars and amps - "No Stairway To Heaven".
