I sing melodic metal with NO screaming. I love hardcore music, just no screaming please. ;)
Singing in general with prolonged usage has adverse effects sometimes. It is the nature of the game. I could name singers and screamers still in the business. And alternately point out singers and screamers, who had to shorten their careers because of vocal issues. Overall, anything with too much usage can go out on you. What helps (not a preventative measure) is doing it properly .. warm-ups etc. I'm still a beginner in many respects though I understand this point. And if someone says don't you struggle or force your voice. I'd say nope. I can growl with much easy without forcing it, stressing my vocals etc .. it comes very naturally.

Though we all are our own person .. so I respect your lack of interest. It just isn't completely factual that it (screaming) is the only abusive vocalization. As stated in the aforementioned texts. As all singing can lend itself to "abusive".

Though, on a side note I'm always disappointed when members don't have at least a sample for others to listen in on. Would be nice to hear how you sound. Was happy to have Google and that I found your YouTube to listen to.

They are proving that you can put it together if you work at it.

Don't care for the growling with two exceptions: Arch Enemy and Bodom.
