Ok,
I got a reply around 2:09am. Considering that at 9:15pm, they indicated that they do not have their industry pros use a multiple choice form to answer artist submissions, I find this answer interesting:
"They have an option to use a template for their reply. Also, they can save the response they sent to other artists as templates."
This of course does not at all address how two different record companies in two different countries could give the EXACT same response to two different song submissions. I don't believe in "coincidence", so that isn't an answer to me. And since by Mike's own admission, "it is true that anyone can sign up on our site and offer to be a music industry professional and accept song submissions from artists," That "approval process" they use to "qualify opportunities" doesn't seem to be working very well.
Their "song to opportunity matching system" never matches any of my heavy metal songs to any heavy metal opportunities, yet I do a search on their site and find heavy metal opportunities from either foreign record companies or in the case of one American record company (American Recordings), it doesn't list anyone's actual name.
Finally, the one review I had by some self professed "ROCKER GIRL" (Leslie J. Bialik ) is some 60 year old chick who's Myspace, Linked IN and Facebook profiles have no info about anyone she's ever worked for or with and doesn't mention any artists she's ever gotten any deals for. She leaves no way of interacting with her on MusicXray at this time, but on the "success stories" section of the site, people appear to have replied to her and appreciated her reviews. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to reply to her.
The number of questions I have continue to mount. It took them around 5 hours to come up with an answer as to how two different record companies gave the exact same reply, verbatim. This doesn't sit well with me.
