Your "sick" humor will probably help Ker laugh...he's that kind of guy. His laughter will help him to heal better, which is what we all want for him...Get well, Ker!!!

You know I luv ya, Glen....(and not in that sorta way ya buncha pervs) I know with you, when push comes to shove, you act on exactly what you promise instead of just trying to look like the poser who wants everyone to think he's a saint witnessed it 1st hand when you gave my little boy a brand new Pocket bike and when you offered me s job w/ ur company when the chips were down for a while  REMEMBER, YOU'RE DEALING WITH ONE OF THE TOP POSTERS HERE WITH THAT "SICK" sense of humor! :P You're one of those that will actually follow through if I rwally called! Most peeps here don't know that about you!

Thank you Mary, also.. You always have a kind or knowledgeable word to say! :D

Mary, if you ever met Kerry, you would know from his infectious smile, and deep love for his family, and love of fun,,,,

Get well Crip. God this is another sucky Chapter.

I get Pissed when I hear about another unprofessional truck driver. There is NO EXCUSE. I'm licensed to drive doubles, triples, hazmat, any thing you can think of. But the days of really professional drivers seem to be gone. With all the extreme regulation that has been put in place over the last 30 years, the trucking industry has gone down hill.

Now it has become try to save a buck by hiring the cheapest drivers available. When you are in control of an 80 thousand pound rig it is completely different than taking the family 5 thousand pound car out for a spin. The driver that did this to Kerry should just be taken out and shot. This doesn't sound like any reasonable accident. This is an un-qualified trucker not taking his responsibility as serious as it should be. Sorry if I sound angry,, I hate incompetence. This should never have happened.

Crip ,you get better man.

Yes ... healing to you my friend.

As far as the rant.

How is this " trucker " any different than the two old ladies whom ran over me?

I did not see him is the only excuse I got from either.

Their gifts were two totaled bikes, permanent back / pelvic and right foot damage.

I'm alive though, and with no more drain bamage than I provided to myself.

There is a reason those of us in the medical field call em murder cycles.

I love to ride.
But I doubt I ever will again.

I don't find fault in anyone whom does.
But for me, as a family man.
The risk out weighs the benefits.

Sans I wouldn't downplay what happened to you at all. You only reinforce the point I was making. Those 2 old ladies should NOT have been driving, PERIOD. This "truck driver" should not have been driving either, he was not exercising the higher order of authority, responsibility, that he is charged with as a "professional trucker".

With trucks it's even worse, You can't stop em, you can't step on it to get away, and you also can't steer em. Even loading and improper loading can make a major difference. I have seen the changes in vehicle design that have made trucks safer, the same can be said with cars. You still have the biggest problem, the controlling operator.

Here is a sad one. I went to school with Dana Chapin, yea Harry's sister. She would not get into a car when he was driving. He was that bad as a driver. When he got run over by the Rickels truck he tried to cut in front to try and get his car that was having troubles over to the other side. He missed. The results were bad for everyone. Rickels, the driver, Harry, and so many fans. The point is stay away from trucks, and don't do stupid things in your car,,, You know the warning labels on so many things,,cigarettes...

There should be a huge warning label on the steering wheel of every car...

IMPROPER USE OF THIS VEHICLE CAN CAUSE INSTANTANEOUS DEATH!!!!!

Good points Glen, and just what I was getting at.

Stupid and motor vehicles don't mix.

Operating a motor vehicle is a privilege, not a right.

It should be a damn sight harder to get and to keep a license.

Probably %50 of the people on the road have no business there.

You place your self and others at risk every time you crank up and drive.
The amount of energy evolved in an auto and especially a truck traveling at just 50 MPH is staggering.

Enough rant from me though.

God, bless Kerry with a speedy and full recovery.
In Christ name I ask.
Amen

The band I was giging with had a similar incident , the piano player fell off a ladder onto the driveway while cleaning his moms gutters . Broke 3 bones in his left wrist . He's back playing again now after 6 mos recovery. best wishes & support to crip , its always more distressing when a musician breaks bones.hopefully it will all be just a bad memory soon .

Praying with you guys....

any update on his status?

I had a bike wreck when I was 15 where I found myself laying in the road looking at the bottom of Dodge Charger. Never took a bike on the street again.

At night they all look like light posts way off in the distance to me.
