I've posted a number of my original songs and instrumentals on BandMix. I'd like to get some experienced musicians to comment on them. I'm in my 50's, so this is not for the young ones. My songs are mainly Country, Easy Listening, Lounge and Instrumentals. I'd also appreciate comments on in what genre each particular song belongs in. I have a hard time with that! Thanks for your input! Wolf

I'd not dare to " rate " another persons music. Especially one outside my preference of genre'.

Call it a cop out if you like but it just does not seem to be my place in the scheme of things.

I like the sounds I'm hearing. Talent and desire is evident.

And damn man you posted a lot of music ...

Cry for Peace caught my ear.

I'd like to offer one critique strictly from a guitarist perspective.

Too much reverb ( or too little ) absolutely destroys the emotion one attempts to convey in his music.

Best wishes

Thanks George!

I appreciate your 'critique'. It's exactly what I wanted to get from fellow musicians. Your comment on the reverbation is very valid, maybe I do exaggerate a little in that area. I've home-recorded most of the instrumantals many years ago with rather primitive means and technique. Anyhow, thanks again for your input and good luck to you!

Thanks for your input. I will definitely follow the link you gave me and check it out. It's not that I "need" someone's review or rating for my tunes. Many hundreds of successful gigs, including a number of TV shows, a 5 year record contract with EMI (Europe) and a gold record have done this already. I'm just interested in other musician's opinion. Who knows, perhaps I can even find like-minded musicians this way. Thanks again!

Wolf,

Very, good, clean lead-guitar work in your portfolio.
Definitely the mark of a 'seasoned' player.

Its hard to speak to preferences and tastes as I am not really qualified to give a thorough critique there, But i will say, for your style, definitely well constructed, nice work...

I would add that some of the songs could be adjusted/re-engineered (i.e reverb levels, as mentioned before. )

Thank you for your feedback and the kind words on my guitar play. The reverb 'thing' is true, but unfortunately I don't have the individual tracks anymore. Oh well... :)
