The last of the original Delta Bluesmen, Honeyboy Edwards passed away Monday night. Honeyboy hung around and played with the legendary Robert Johnson. I was fortunate enough to be his backing guitarist a few years ago at BB Kings in NYC . . . best part was talking with Honeyboy in the dressing room sippin' bourbon.

:(
I never listened to much of his work, no particular reason other than i was drawn to John Hurt, Skip James and RJ.
They all seemed to be cut from the same cloth...
Players today still can't emulate what those boys did. So many people can play EVH eruption but I've yet to hear someone duplicate RJ or John Hurt to a tee.
You got to live it to truly feel it.
A side note there is a version of Clapton playing Stones in my passway and Love in vain on you tube pretty good versions. But even Eric says it'd be a life's work to try and duplicate what Robert Johnson did.

Sorry for your loss.
