Capt. you'll have to listen through to the end. I call it Comprehensive.
http://bandmix.com/franny/

Enjoy, while you pack that bowl tight with your friend while sitting in Mommy's basement, listening to "head music" while saying to your buddy...wow, far out man, thats some groovy sh*t man, look at the lights man, watch these trails man...oh wow man.

Now pick up that wreck you call a guitar and cop some more Hendrix licks. remember theres a whole World out there that wants to hear that worn out sh*t.

P.S. don't forget to turn off the Blacklight...you wouldn't want to burn down mommy's house...hhhmm but then again that would be one farout, groovy light show huh?

LMAO And here I was getting ready to hear something good and plenty?!?.

"Twinkle-Twinkle little star"? I think maybe you got them undies in a twist.

Love ya Franny, you can be Admiral Underpants if you want to.. LOL

Mayhaps CAT WOMAN>? (Warning you have to be able to fit in the leather pants, though)

Glad you got a kick out of it.
I called it Comprehensive for your benefit, but i see my adding an uptempo flair just completely ruined it for you...sorry.
next time i'll go get a Fisher Price "Laugh and Learn" Baby Grand Piano and hammer out something thats not over you're THC drenched noggin.

Weren't you the guy from Flemington i read about that acted all drunk and high after consuming Beer bottles filled with piss and being told Cowpie Chips were shrooms?

Oh, i forgot to ask, what the hell does Mayhaps mean?

?LOL? Gee, Frannie if I didn't know better I'd say you were angry?

I would have rather you recorded something cool and inspiring, instead of angry and abusive. I would speculate more, but my intent is not to provoke. lol

But it's all good, you're just slandering your whole gender musically. Keep going, I am having fun still.

Maybe you can play something cool for us next, instead of hate bred nursery music. (Although hate bred some other type of music might be nice)

And say what you like about me, I don't think my vernacular confers that which you imply. All it shows is that you are angry. (Ok, now that you are angry and I get it, can I have some real music now? Maybe you can get that guy who spoke at the end to participate again this time in a more productive fashion, ok? ok, thanx.)

PS: (My THC drenched noggin says that your use of You're and your is incorrect) (You're = you are) Oh and mayhaps is the same as maybe.

See thats where you and i differ, just ask the kid that i saw was worthy of good equipment, he recieved from me a Lakland 55-02, all i asked for in return was that played it till the cows came home and leave them with their jaws hanging open...and he does.
You, on the other hand would have smacked that kid down and laughed while boosting your pitiful lack of self esteem while any onlookers would've walked away in disgust at your lack of couth.

Franny let me get this straight....you're 50 years old, likely have played music all your life, want to expand your horizons etc. but you use the alotted music space to you here on BandMix not to upload some recording or performance you are proud of, but a smarmy swipe at Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with an obscenity at the end?

Wow, that's beyond pathetic. Is that really how you want to share your "groove" with the crowd?

Of course not, that was a moment in time to show a great big FU to that hendrix wanna be...mocking him in otherwords. He wouldn't be able to comprehend nor keep up with my style. But thats another story. I never did say i was proud of it...like look ma i'm on top o' the World...it is a cynical joke. Which i shall remove seeings how El Capitan already heard it.

Ok I confess I am a bad guy. Is that what you wanted to hear?

I'd say anything to get you to cease and decist.

Boy, some BITTER folks round here.. LOL I'd poke you with a stick to get you really riled up, but I only lost a hand so far. I don't wish to make it a whole arm.

See, I can still hold a pick with my stub.

lol

PS: Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Lakland 55-02?

It's an electric Bass made by one of the Worlds premire Luthiers in Chicago...although it's an "offshore" made model, you'd be hard pressed to hear any differences to its American counterpart. (in my avatar)
Plus it probably costs more than your entire rig, if thats what you really want to know. Yes, i gave it away while it was still under warranty and less than a year old.
Don't look at the price lists...they will make you sick.

That was very magnanimous of you, Lucy, I mean Farah, I mean Franny. LOL

Now if I was a bastard I would say, "Way to help the special olympics".

But since I am studying to be human my official retort will be, "That was a very nice gesture of you, to provide a good instrument to someone you thought was deserving".

I am dying to say something funny, but I am stopping myself for fear of crowds rising up with torches and pitchforks.

"You go girl"!

You kind of invite it don't you? I see you make some civil and even kind responses occassionally, but within the context of all the attacks you make, it's kind of like giving flowers to your wife after beating her.

LOL I kind of laugh and take it all in stride.

It's like tripping your wife into some soft mud and then calling her "der dreckspatz".

No blood=no foul

I'll reserve any ignorance till a later date.
But, just to show you how nice of a person i really am...i'll help to setup your Sears & Roebuck "Harmony Strat copy" so you can really cop some hendrix licks.

Here goes...when intonating your guitar (snicker) the open strings and the depressed twelth fret do not work.

In all your wisdow can you tell me why, and the correct way to do it?

Gee Franny, I don't do any technical stuff to my guitar.

The only thing I do to my strat is to drop the bridge/trem to the absolute bottom as I believe that anything that can be done with a trem can be done with your fingers and I hate those fender trems. (they are worthless)

Franny, are you still in hate mode? I get the impression I could fry an egg on your head. lol

(smile) It takes less energy to smile than to frown. And ultimately, it is only my opinion. What do I know? Answer: Next to nothing. Take it in stride or it will eat you alive. I only mentioned the music aspect, as I like to hear what people play. Good or bad, right or wrong. No matter. ("Mind over Matter")

OOh, it just hit me. Are you talking about how you should be able to slide a business card under the strings when the 12th fret is depressed? That's what I do. Either a business card or a playing card is what I go with. Whatever is handy.

No i'm not in mad mode...frustrated perhaps, but mad, nah.
I'm talking about setting up a guitar to make it playable for you...not playable for you rhythm guitarist or anyone else...just you.
The credit card thing you're referring to is to measure fertboard deflection; and what you posted is the wrong way to do it to begin with.

Heres it a small walk through, of what you were meaning.
Tools needed: a Capo, tuner, and a set of automotive feeler guages (they're cheaper than getting guages from a guitar type store)
A wrench to fit your trussrod adjustment piece (fender uses "bullet" looking things sticking out of the heasdstock that use Allen wrenches, other companies use pieces for a phillips head screwdrivers, and other companies uses downright Bolt hexagon shapes that use nutdrivers) find out what your is...
Next have your instrument up to tune (be it drop D or standard)
Set down with it in playing position, now Capo across the first fret, allow your 6th string E to act as a straight edge, then push/fret that string down at the "last fret" near the body...now using your free hand with a guage...find what # guage will fit underneath the top of the fret and the bottom of the string using the 7th and 8t frets...that will be "board deflection" or bow...if your string is laying right on top of the frets then you need to release the pressure by turning the trus rod nut just a little to loosen it, like maybe 1/8 of a turn if that, make sure you loosen up the strings first, before turning the truss nut...retune and see what happened (if any thing)...if nothing happened repeat the procedure again and, retune and check.
Warning: if you feel that you're having to use like grit your teeth, whitknuckling to get that nut to move STOP it needs to go to a pro.
Fender recommends a bow in your board of anywhere from .008 inch to .012 inch...it isn't much.

The credit card thing will work if you don't have feeler guages.
After you get that far just ask and i'll walk you to setting it to play like it's a new guitar...born with your name on it.
