Are most singers blind? Yep. They cannot see the instrument their playing. The few singers, who can, have been trained by a seeing- eye dog (a good voice teacher). The singer must be able to figure out; via kinesthetic feel, what will help them grow or what will make them fail. This is also what we do. Through constant positive affirmation our singers learn to be confident; that what they’re doing is right, wrong or close.
This knowledge can save hours or years of frustration for the singer and anyone coaching them; such as a producer, song writer etc. and of course you knew this was coming. One cannot feel the lyrics; if one is worried about how they’re voice is working!

As a singer I can connect with what you are saying. I also think there
should be more discussion of vocals here. A pure instrumentalist has
a hard time relating to a biological instrument. I'ld like to hear some
examples of your work though.[/b]
