A crotchety old professional guitar player is befriended by a successful younger amateur guitar player that the old fart can't avoid because he learns a little more each week from the man he can't stand. Old fart (we'll call him)Fredd, just can't find his way on his own. Professionally, he can't fill a venue the size of a phone booth, his other job- he can't get off the ground either, as he claims to be a pilot. Each episode, the younger-charismatic (Mann), is visited by the always insulting, never funny Fredd(2 Ds, blames his mother for the spelling and all his short-comings). Fredd keeps insisting they could make money as a duet, but the always forgiving Christian- Mann insists he only uses his gift for recreation, and his wealth comes mystically, and often, which frustrates Fredd. Fredd's insulting behavior is simplistically batted down into stupidity, and in the 22 minutes, they jam together. Mann shredds his guitar, Fredd plays rythm, and picks up a few pointers, which is only seen by the Son of Mann, despite Fredds efforts to try new ways of making a profit from their session, at the same time Mann is trying to make a prophet out of Fredd. Which leads us to the title of the show- "Profit To Prophet". :D

Mann is played by Keith Urban, Fredd is played by anyone whom resembles "Otis" from the Andy Griffith show.

...somehow Fredd and Mann start rehearsing more often...then they actually start getting good...so good they start getting some gigs...then they do a Youtube vid and become worldwide sensations...then Fredd and Mann tour the world...Fredd and Mann become major corporate sponsors...their picture appears on Wheaties boxes...their songs become religious anthems...they are summoned to the Vatican where the Pope blesses them...they are honored at the Kennedy center...they win seven Grammy awards...then scandal strikes...Fredd is implicated cheating on his wife who hits him over the head with a guitar...they lose their sponsors...their worldwide tour is canceled...it's revealed that Mann is a pre-op transexual...millions of young girl's hearts are broken...paparazzi now swarm each of them...they are the butt of jokes on the tonight show with Dave Letterman...a phrase denigrating the Prophet Mohammed is found in one of their songs...a fatwah against their lives is issued by Al Qaida...hundreds of thousands of Muslims worldwide riot...Fredd and Mann go into hiding...THE END

All characters living or dead are fictitious, any resemblance living or dead is purely coincidence.

I don't know if Keith Urban could be a believable pre-op transexual. Re-write.

Mann's bodygaurd is his son Elijah, who then brings fire down the al-Qs and destroys them in masses. Resurrecting Mann as a national hero! :D Fredd gets his operation (guitar-ectomy) and returns to his usual self. Show returns for another season! 8)

Mann is hopelessly in love with and older black woman who has a close resemblance to Tina Turner AND she plays the flute in her jazz combo. 8)

He can see clearly now, the rain is gone! Mann ditches Fredd. New combo reaches new heights in poles and sales! :D

After Fredd's full recovery, and constant begging, Mann feels sorry for Fredd and buys him another guitar. The one that went halfway through his skull, still missed his brain, yet left him with no guitar. Mann bought Fredd a new one, because Fredd had squandered his earnings from earlier engagements. Fredd seems to be his old self, but continuousely still misses his mark on playing a key role in what could be a monster smash hit by plunking one note on his new guitar on time. Fired again! Not for missing his mark, but for hitting on Mann's women!

Sorrowful Fredd admits it was him that started the pre-opt transexual rumor, wanting his job back, and that it was also proven the sub- liminal Mohamed message came from him. The al-qs's found him at his usual bar and killed him. A definite time to Quit!

(yawn)

Crunchy, none of this was original. It's not even well conceived, it just looks like a thinly veiled attempt at another musician.

Why don't you just agree to disagree and get on with it?

Jimmy have you been drining?
How about a sitcom about this one guy on bandmix who was mad at
this other guy on bandmix.
They bickered back and forth ruthlessly,
then they got married (at least in MA)
and lived happily ever after.
