Hello everyone. I'm not new to this site, but new to the forum. I'm happy to be a part of an increadible group of individuals. That being musicians.

I've been playing since that age of 12. And every since that infamous day, i have been hounded by an entity(which i will not name here). But i heard this was common for many musicians. Although i have played around with music since then, it has never been my intention to go very far with it. I've done it simply as a hobby. But one day, when in my early twenties, while showering(this is significant because water acts as a conductor between worlds)the entity finally spoke to me. It told me that if i didn't give my life to music, i would fail at everything else.

Well, fast forward twenty-odd years, now i am completely broke. I have lost my high paying job due to a shut-down, my house, all my savings, my beautiful girlfriend, and now all of my friends. After being jobless for two years, i finally landed a job at less than half the pay i was getting at the other place. After only three weeks into the job, while stopped at a red light on my way home from work, my car got whipped-out by a tractor-trailer. Fortunately, i got out without a scratch. I consequently lost my job after that, and have since been unemployed. If it were not for a charismatic priest, i would be homeless right now. Over the course of the past 5 years, one thing after another has come to strip me of everything i own. Except for one thing. My guitars.

Therefore, now having nothing left to loose but my soul, i am finally going to start my musical career. Believe me .... i know how to play. I can also write great lyrics with increadibly moving melodies. I won't explain why i didn't pursue music from the get go. It's sufficient to say that i had my reasons.

Anyway, I am here now in this forum to set the record straight. "You got that entity"? "It is now time to play"!

Stay tuned folks ... the "Rock is about to hit the fans".

God Bless

Could you be a little more cryptic?

Be careful about listening to ëntities. The devil is able to present himself as an angel of light, ya know?

The God of the Holy Bible would never tell someone to dedicate their life to "music" but to the Creator from whom all ability to create comes from. Then your "music" would be focused with a purpose.

Prove it!

You don't have a clue, just like you don't have a clue there is life on one of the 80-100 billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Chevy is better than Ford
Ludwig is better than Pearl...ect

Why you wanna start some crap, stay on subject please.

Your profile has no music and pictures.....are you just another TROLL!

Thanks for your comments my friend. They are appreciated.

But that's a pretty bold statement to make. "no such thing as God". Devils and demons exist as well. And one of them is certainly speaking through you brother. The little voices that whisper in the back of your mind when you hear someone speak of God ... they're not yours. Those are demons that have taken control over your very narrow belief system.

It's too bad though. Ask any notable musician, and they will openly tell you that music is a reflection of God's nature. Where do you think insperation comes from.

It is not I, that requires professional help my friend. it's you. It makes me laugh when i hear people blurt-out mindless crap like saying that God doesn't exist. That day when you finally open your eyes ... , will be the day you will learn how to play real music Drummer in need.

I'm sorry for my blunt response. I do appreciate your comments. But i hate stupid ones.

Hello yod,

Thanks for responding.

Cryptic? Ya i suppose. Don't mean to offend anyone. I was looking for musicians in my area, and came across this site's forum. Cool, i get to talk shop with fellow musicians.

Don't worry though. I don't think i'm possessed. And i'm certainly not evil. Though we do all have some in us. Some more, some less.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the devil thing. I didn't see any light though. And you're right ... God doesn't tell anyone to dedicate their lives to "music" or Rock and Roll for that matter. Unless of course it's his or her path to do so. There are a lot of "gifted" musicians and singers out there. Therefore, do the birds begrudge God their songs?

I do apologize for my rant. I suppose i could have been a little more cryptic. "We'll just edit that later". "Take two"!

Whatever the case may be my friend. There are all kinds of forces that surround and influence us. It's good to be aware of them. It's just that when you've given your all, and keep crashing over and over again ...

It's not time to quit. It's time to go to plan "B". As in the Blues baby.

Just my two cents. But in the end, we will all be measured by the distance we traveled on this plain. I would rather hook myself on to a star, then to nothing at all.

Oy vey . . . this topic again?

Dr. Carl Jung explained clearly, and for the most part the entire world of sciences agree, that gods, devils, demons, angels, djinn & tonics, etc. are ancient archetypal images embedded deep within our unconsciousness, they are then brought to our consciousness through symbology.

Occultists use this knowledge . . . religious people tend to be used by this knowledge.

Except in Hawaii, where the contest rules do not allow their families to participate.
:P

BTW, Jung was the same guy who espoused "collective consciousness" implying that we have souls and are coolaborative... I guess he meant "collection of symbols?' :D
