Sleep apnea and snoring are not related, though snoring can be a sign of apnic episodes.

But they can be, George, and that's the point. If you have family members and friends running from you at night then at least have it checked out. Loud snoring IS a symptom of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, especially if the person is having other symptoms.
