I'm not sure how all laptops are with webcams. But mine has a button to turn on the webcam and once signed in to youtube, you go to upload a video and it has the option of recording from the site. As long as your webcam is turned on, it should work. I'll have to try it later.
I'm clueless, myself about these gadgets... Its getting to where I hate gadgets...I Bought a web cam and simply installed it...Able to record directly into the camera... Problem solved
