This Has been a Flame thread. It didn't start out that way. A kind word sent out for all to see has been attacked from all directions. My method for putting light on the attitudes of those who attack first- ask questions later was a demonstration that could be likened to living in a slum (I have) and turning on the kitchen light in the middle of the night. You can almost hear the cock-roaches and mice scream as they run for cover. I have posted my thoughts and advice that have asked about music, and what I've learned about guitar set-ups, I've advertised gear I could guarantee, posted equipment I use. I've given to others on this site at my expense (I have Fed ex receipts), and never asked a dime. I have worn many many hats in my life. I am an amateur musician because it is what I like to do. If I were to use it to make a living, then it becomes a job. There are those that do that well and give something to the rest of us to enjoy. I applaud you for that. Rock On. Others here (pro or not), want to be underwriters of who can post on this site. In conjunction with what I've already said here, I am going to end this post with a challenge... I dare you to read in your Bible (if you have one) Malachi 2:1-9. I dare you not to read it. I apologize to those I've offended having to read my posts that haven't attacked me.
