Ok wait a minute JW, thats not fair. First of all we are talking about a great guitarist that has used his greater understanding of the general problems with a guitar, to overcome them. If you were just another joe blow guitarist, I would be laughing.
Now the really fun thing is that you have big enough shoulders to carry a Paul, and the funny thing is I have never seen a picture without a Paul.
Now on to Slacker,
Ok wait a minute Slacker, your cheating. You are creating a whole new guitar ,that is not really a fender. You are using your talents to change the rules.
COOL my friend.

My Paul is a 78, the frets are so worn, the hardware is tarnished, all stock, war nicks and cuts all over, and I wouldn't trade it or change it for any guitar you could offer me. I have this stupid loyalty thing to old friends, and there isn't another guitar out there sounds like mine. Stupid piece of wood.

Yeah John everything on the CD was my Strat. The Rui CDs too. But the Paul has its place in my arsenal.

Glen I had to dig for a picture of a strat, they frustrate me so much that I have a biting fit when I play one!

The difference is 10 and 12 inch neck. A single humbucker (those of us with that option know) is limited but can go a looooooooooong way. There is probably nothing on Frampton Comes alive you can't do with a single. Do I need to remind you of that albums success? Don't like it, I don't care. Don't want him in your band because he has singles is short sighted and he may (and probably will) out perform you. 8)
