you've ever had a sudden mountain wind storm blow your stack of gear over and attempt to turn a tarped stage into a kite?

*raises hand*

Good times!

I fully retract any negative statements about Line6 heads.
I had to borrow the other guitarists spare Line6 solid state head for this last gig -
I was able to dial in an alright sound, and it still worked flawlessly after tumbling from full stack height and bouncing of the stage floor.

(Another plus; they are insanely loud)

I know the valve type like Terrence has probably wouldn't have made it, but I'm still gonna check into what Krips been running.

Hand not raised.

No wind problems.

The insane heat this past Saturdays gig gave our equipment fits.

I'm surprised my Nomad did not burst into flames.
At the end of the last set she was almost too hot to pick up.

Yeah, just a couple of weeks ago I played a gig with a local band, quit a few days later, I was thoroughly disappointed with the band. No practice, nothing but excuses. Booking gigs with only part of the band. Never knew what was happening till the last minute. Drummer dragged BAD. Tried to use horns, they didn't have a clue what was going on and sounded horrible...no practice, remember...new sax player who was really bad, maybe 7th grade playing level...just awful all the way around.

Anyway, outdoor gig with a band that was not ready and should not have been booked, had to try and wing it with guys who are not capable of doing that, wind blew my hat off several times, blew my mic stand over 3 or 4 times, noise in every mic onstage but mine since I always keep a windscreen on it, (keeps me from pulling moustache hairs out) no way I could keep a song list handy, even taped it would blow around...About the only thing that did do well was a few songs we did know fairly decent, and I was able to get a very good guitar sound. Surprised me for outdoors, usually it's almost impossible to get a decent sound outside. PA speakers wobbling around in the wind, I think it blew a cymbal over, bass player's 6 foot tall Kustom cabinet was wobbling around...

Bad night overall, I quit the band a few days later after practice was yet again canceled due to yet another excuse and another gig was canceled because the keyboard player (who owns the PA) didn't know about it before hand and booked a karaoke gig that night...I didn't know where and when we were supposed to play at 5PM that day, and should have already been on the road to the gig, that's about when I found out about the cancellation. I said SEE YA...

Looks like some Spider III's. Nice. Spider IV's are sweet too.

I have a Spider Jam (which is a Spider III + JM4 Looper).

Hey, that would look sort of like squeezing a tube of brown silly string...
