Glen, I see your point, but I really don't think you can see mine.

When ppl & organizations can manipulate our system & their workers & the market to make such outrageous amounts of money, it shows that there is a flaw in the system, for one thing. No, making money is not a crime, but, let's face it - if you're bringing in thousands upon thousands every damned minute, you're doing something to someone. You're ripping something or someone off.

When one reaches that point, they should pay more than the average Joe back into the system that has made it all possible for them. It isn't unethical for me to expect that from someone who has "made it" when they misused the system to do so.

I have pointed out many unfair biz practices to you over the last cpl years, & you seem to hold onto the idea that these outfits, being smart enough to beat the system, should be allowed to keep all their ill-gotten booty. You have not even considered that they should be regulated, saying that the market will even everything out.

You miss the point that these entities OWN the system now, that they control the system, & that they do not allow others to enter into it.

I'd like for you to address this aspect of the problem, rather than continue to hear you wail about how the rest of us are trying to steal from these poor ppl, these wonderful examples of corporate brainyism. Do you even think the system SHOULD be a fair & open one to everyone? Or do you like the current corruption that makes it possible for so few to have so much at the cost of so many?

You pointed out the biggest point. The average "joe " doesn't have a big enough set of balls except to sit around and complain while hard working individuals or corporations go out and bring home the bacon that supports all the socialist programs that have suddenly become "American" BULL DINKY!

Sorry I was hanging out with with a lot of pretty, flirty, sexy, woman last night , T levels are pretty high. The only thing saving your sorry ass right now is my wife.
Another time or 2 and I should be ok. :)

Oh my God! I've become a dirty old man. BAHHAHAHAHA.

My path has been paying your dividends you investor, (not going to deny it are you.) That's what's got you upset, I've got you pegged and in my sights. HAAAHA, If I were Cheaya, I'd be upset you've put words in my mouth like you have others to make your point. Do it in your words or stay off the line! When you say what others are saying, say what they DID say or be mad at yourself for leading others down a path. I am not the only one whom has said you are incorrectly putting words in our mouth. Take this as a life lesson, even at your age. This May be my last response to an IDIOT! There are humans on the other side of your screen that may be paying for your opinion, don't make it cost more than it does by doing what you do, which is putting false witness in other peoples mouths. You are the worst debater to be on a high profile site like this. If you have something to say you Bi-Polar Investor, say it. Don't tell me what your buddies Would say, or how your nose is their dark secret.

Philby, Glenn, Please read carefully:
Philby, You are describing business that generates Extra-ordinary returns in an industry market that has not reached a level of maturity, or as experts might call it, less than Ideal-Market circumstances. Under the free market system, an Ideal market arises when cost/rev reach an equilibrium, which self adjusts to the prevailing economy. Nobody cheats, production is on target, profits reflect appropriately, and returns on investment in that market yield a very banal, but safe value. Risk is very low and non volatile) A good example might be Fast food Industry.

McDonald's has been serving the same 6 billion people since they started. 30-40 years ago. They most likely hired the same 6 billion at some point, as well... The price elasticity of their burgers always seems to manage smoothly throughout each decade. You can still get a Big Mac cheaply. But the important thing here is that you ain't gonna have much success entering the industry and turning it upside-down under the current models. In other words, its been as optimized as its gonna get and the lack of volatility guarantees us that the share holders wont receive extraordinary returns, disproportionate to their holdings. Needless to say: Nobody gets 'rich' in an Ideal market.

Take a look at Apple. They are operating in a tumultuous technical market. Their stocks are through the roof, overstated and highly over valued right now. Its volatile, because in the technical world, the rules about Engineering standards, design and support keep changing every quarter. In fact, it borders on the ridiculous, but still, its a shark's wet dream. When IEEE standards reach "Dejure (well planned)" status, as opposed to "Defacto" (Coerced) status, we'll see the bubble of entry into technical investment decrease , just like McDonald's , respectively.

My entire point (And please forgive my long-windedness) ... is that you can see ethically why should not attack McDonald Tax-wise for having successfully reached a self sufficient phase of economic prowess and existence. (AKA Ideal Market Status). And in that status, you'd only kill a thriving business if you taxed it un fairly.

We should not attack Apple, becuse to do so would impede its ability to ever grow reach Ideal Market Status.

In fact, The reason the UNITED STATES kicks serious ass in the business/technical world, is because we "allow" innovation to unfold itself without tainting its growth with undue burdens (in theory). This allows growth, somewhat by natural evolution, (Unlike many of the other countries on the planet.). The Former USSR coerced its Guns & Butter program on the people, and the results were sub-par to the US standards. We (US) are and shall always remain the best.

Lets NOT impose undue TAX burdens on the corps that idealized the markets. To do so,will surely just kill them off. Then what have we got left to show?

Gen (one N), you have very recently posted that you're a Godly man, and a family man. Do you think that loose women tightened here is something you want God to hear or something you want Loose women to hear. How about your family. Do they know about your loose women tightener? Don't do us like you do your family. Don't assume we're stupid- just because you think no one is listening. I would be fearing God for the words you put on this sight if I were you! I thank God I've got more sense. You would not put your neck on the line to protect God's word, but think you can live on both sides of the fence. I am diagnosing you as a Bi- Polar (I've had collegiate psychology), and you can't claim ignorance as defense after this point. Do you feel a presence with you now? One thing about a liar and a cheat is that someone is there to call you on it. I'm not the only one calling you. Do you hear a voice? It's not mine. Is this the man you feel God has made you to be? Good luck with that, If you believe in luck. You haven't said so, but I'm just hoping something will be on your side besides BP.

Paperdog- Apple computer has more liquid assets than the United States. I don't have a terse verse to say about Apple. They pay on a scale the rest of us do. I hope for many prosperous returns for Apple. They don't get their assets from U.S. soil, sucked from the ground we strive to protect under the Monroe Doctrine for a foreigner to make a profit at the expense of our ecology. Oil (petroleum) found in protected lands and seas of the U.S. should benefit all of us of the U.S., not at a higher rate because we are paying the taxes on the take of something natural provided by God. As we have seen, in this country there is a time for profit. There is never a time justified by rape. Our forefathers disagreed with a tax on the singular commodity tax levied on tea. Isn't it profetic that now, after 200+ years we have the Tea Partyers? I am not alone. Everyone on Bandmix could say I am. As an individual reading this message, do you really think that you are paying fairly when you go to the pump? If you are an entrepreneur, aren't the things that you make or produce taxed at a higher rate than what comes from public grounds to go to foreign investors. Do you feel comfortable that- yeah, there are jobs produced from this, so I'll go ahead and pay $1.20 a gallon more than it's worth to go to a foreign country because we don't have Americans to produce for Americans, yet we have American investors that will fight tooth and nail for their foreign investment gains? Can you hear the elevator music playing as we try to figure out how there will be Social security benifits left for you or me? Enjoy the music, that's all you're going to get, no matter what you've invested into that program all your working life.

Yes, I eat Taco Bell (when I can afford it). It Is however an American company that makes something that is Good for us Americans, owned and operated by Pepsico.) Why don't you swim to Mexico when it's late night (Americans working late to give you at least one more option so that you can joke about your gastro-inntestinal problems. It's not expensive food, but it's good. Have you never gotten off a late night gig and went for 2 burrito Supremes? go ahead, tell me another Lie. You're wasting in your own Poop.

Sitting with how many sexy women? Hmmmm? And you feel that your wife is the only thing saving me.... Hmmmmmmmmm. You need to have your testosterone levels weighed against your wife's tolerance levels. I know who's an Idiot. It's not me. I'm also the only one who can see through this imaginary veil you think exists. Can't wait until you try to counter what I've said about you! Because this rhymes, It's all about you.

Sorry crunch. I didn't realize you had such thin skin. Do you always cry when some one busts on you. I'll try to be a lot more understanding of you needs in the future.
Thanks for sharing your expertise after a college course or two. Where should I send the check?
Oh yes I have been diagnosed as being extremely passionate about freedom and protecting the greatest country that has ever existed. That includes your freedoms by the way.
As for God, thanks for saving him the trouble of having to judge me. I'm certain you have lightened his caseload.
As far as BP, Unfortunately I don't own any of their stock, but I would look into Kodiak oil, Chesapeake energy, Noble energy, and Clean energy.
Any way it always makes me feel good when I can rattle a liberals can as much as I can yours. BAHAHAHAHA!

Paleopete wrote: The reason for the Boston tea party was to stop a monopoly on tea." I hate to disagree with that, when I agree with everything else you were saying, but the "Tea Party" was because of unfair taxes on one commodity everyone was using.

Nope.

The history books they gave you in school were often quite inaccurate. From the Encyclopedic Dictionary of American History ©1970 Washington Square Press:

Boston Tea Party (Dec 16, 1773)

Colonists masquerading as Indians boarded three tea ships of the British East India Company and threw the tea into Boston Harbor.

Colonial merchants feared that the entry of the low priced tea would establish a monopoly for the British company and deprive them of a lucrative source of revenue. Colonists regarded the tea as symbolic of the growing interference in colonial trade by an increasingly active British government. It was felt that monopolies of other commodities might be established by Parliament if the tea monopoly was not resisted.

Parliament's reply to the destruction of the tea was a series of "Intolerable Acts," including closing of the port of Boston until the tea was paid for. The rest of the colonies rallied to the aid of Boston and brought the American Revolution a step closer.

I'm glad that wasn't directed at me, because I DO NOT suggest or agree with unfair taxing of any person or entity. Just the idea that corporations and extremely wealthy individuals pay their fair share of taxes just like us, which they currently do not do.

And yes Chaeya is right, with all the brilliant people in our country we should be Terra farming on other planets and we should already have these skills in place. Energy issues should have been a problem solved years ago.

Very true. And another example of corruption sending this country to hell in a handbasket. And not the only one. Articles in Popular Science in the early 70's described highly efficient windmills that could operate in a 5MPH breeze, at constant RPM. Solar panels were being developed but highly inefficient at the time. Both should have been in use long ago. I'm not sure why, but wind power is fairly uncommon in the eastern part of the country while I saw several huge windmill farms out west 2 years ago. I also noticed a lot of billboards with solar panels mounted beside them. This should be a common sight all over the country, but it's not. I can only guess at why, but I suspect the large utility companies have put a lot of effort into keeping it stifled in the east so they can continue to make insane profits on fossil fuels that are finite and will run out one day, whether you admit it or not.

A carburetor was designed in the 70's that was capable of over 100 miles per gallon. It got news coverage all over TV when the test car arrived in DC, 2 weeks later it was a dead story and I've never heard anything more about it. I rarely watch TV but at a friend's house a few weeks ago I saw a commercial one of the auto manufacturers made bragging about their 26MPG average in a SUV. I happen to know 100 MPG plus is possible, and they're bragging about 26. What happened to that carb? Corporate greed is what happened.

Fast food has been mentioned. I avoid fast food if at all possible, it's some of the most horrid crap ever produced, usually nasty, especially Taco Bell and McD's, I refuse to walk into either they are both so disgusting. Without a doubt the most fattening and unhealthy food you can possibly eat, shouldn't even be called food. McD's puts sugar in everything they sell except sausage, coffee and water. Even their salads contain sugar. Why do you need sugar in a salad or a hamburger??? It's addicting. Same as MSG. They all put MSG in everything too, because it is addicting. It also causes obesity and therefore diabetes, and is proven to be linked to a long list of other health problems yet is still in use in many items both in restaurants and in the grocery store. I know this is fact, I've been checking labels. Every can of Campbell's soup lists monosodium glutamate. MSG. Several other very popular products as well. This is why America now has the dubious distinction of being the fattest country in the world. Food corporations are putting a chemical in your food to make you addicted to it and it also makes you fat. Corporate greed. And the FDA is allowing this. The organization that is supposed to be PROTECTING US from exactly this kind of treatment.

Ditto for the medical industry. Oil industry. Any of them you care to name, they are screwing us and the government knows it and allows it. It's not new either. Chevy produced a highly unsafe car in the 60's called the Corvair. They kept selling it even though it was known to be unsafe and killing people. The government didn't do a thing. Finally Ralph Nader forced them to recall many and they quit making them. Same for the Pinto. Ford knew the Pinto was very unsafe and killing people for several years. It made them lots of money so they kept selling it until Nader again stepped in. Corporate greed.

Say what you want, our government is looking after the interests of big business, not US, the people they are supposed to be looking out for and we dumbass Americans keep re electing them. I have no doubt obummer will have the audacity to run for re-election, I just hope some of the people in this country wise up before then.

I'm not pissed. I'm not judging. I don't like having my words twisted by the same person time after time. Same as you do everyone you disagree with. I don't need thicker skin. I need to stop responding in truth to an Idiot, a Liar, a Cheat who carries both side of a discussion on a national public forum. I merely gave you sound advice about your interaction with other human beings. I know everyone reading this could tell you of a three year old they know with more common sense. Go kiss your wife and tell her you tighten women here! You're a sneaky snake. Play it off like it was all fun and games. Some day, some day soon, your going to get tightened up. I don't have to judge you, someone else will. While you're checking out new energy sources, check out how far you can go on your own hot air. Skip Ohio, for your own sake. Someone said you were in the Navy. I can't believe you lived through that. Where'd they keep you, a POLAR ice cap? Do you know what a blanket party is. I could see one in your honor.
