Chaeya - sorry if you misunderstood me. I was actually directing my comments at PD. I wasn't playing a slavery card, but responding to PD's comments. (Didja know that Abe Lincoln's VP was a "runaway slave?" There were all sorts of political cartoons & wanted posters put out about him when he became pres.)

Yes. You are right. I'm not in a good frame of mind right now.

I can accept that everyone has a right to an opinion. Perhaps I overstated my case, & perhaps I looked at his response as if it were putting me down a bit.

PD - sorry to you, too.

Are we still friendly & such?

Phil, always friendly & such :). No worries there. I respect your opinion as I do everyone else's... Sometimes I just get obstinate with my own... In any case, I know there a lot of pressure in the world... Sometimes we gotta blow steam.

You Know... I would not object to a more skilled musician galvanizing these words with something raunchy, metally, and Rob Zombie like... Any Takers out there? :D

Its a shame some of us have selective anger and hurt.
This world we live in is full of anger and hurt and it amazes me
when people cherry pick things to be upset with. As I said before, I
rejoice in the judicial system finally working the way it was designed to.
Whether I or you agree or disagree with the outcome, the system works
better than any other system out there. You must except it.

There are others on this planet that have never had and never will
have any form of justice. They are also as innocent as Callie.
I hear no outcry from some here that would make them better people.
You hold close to your heart the memory and death of someone you didn't know.
There are hundreds of thousands of fellow humans that have died and you
don't mention them at all.

You need to think of how easily you have been manipulated by the media
and the publicity of this case. The images have swayed you. The various stories
have made you lean one way. The media has actually turned the public
into the jury. That is disgraceful and not what our forefathers had in mind.

How would you like to live here.

Likewise, its a shame that some folk have selective denial and numbness from the truth. They don't wanna face it, so they fabricate a Disneyland to describe what is otherwise a failing institution.

This world we live in is full of anger and hurt and it amazes me

That's probably because most people are overwhelmed by all the anger and hurt. So they tend to seek the root causes of it. You call it cherry picking, I call it seeking an answer.

As I said before, I rejoice in the judicial system finally working the way it was designed to.

And as I said before.."Disneyland'

Whether I or you agree or disagree with the outcome, the system works
better than any other system out there. You must except it.

Really? As a matter of fact, I DO take exception. (as opposed to 'accept' it)
The system does NOT work. The reason is very simple...That system is owned and operated by very greedy people, who bend it to suit their own needs. They don't care whether you and I agree or not.

There are others on this planet that have never had and never will
have any form of justice. They are also as innocent as Callie.

Agreed and the only real difference between their system and ours is that nobody is getting rich off the victims and perps in their system like they do in ours.

I hear no outcry from some here that would make them better people.
You hold close to your heart the memory and death of someone you didn't know.

I can assure you of this... One person swept under a rug from this system like Calee was, speaks for all persons under that rug.
Tell you what... Next house you buy, just try and pay the agent in pennies and see how far you get.

You need to think of how easily you have been manipulated by the media
and the publicity of this case. The images have swayed you. The various stories
have made you lean one way. The media has actually turned the public
into the jury.

So you must be suggesting then... when Fox news reported the jury';s verdict, that the jury was swayed by the media?
That verdict was reported accurately, and the explanation for it was reported accurately as well... There is nobody in America
that disputes how the trial unfolded? What part of my opinion about the incompetency of the the attorneys do you believe is swayed by media? Are you disturbed by the fact that I drew my own conclusion? Its a fact that he judge is up for re-election. Its a fact that he the defense attorney admitted his own doubts about the verdict. (as in He's questioning Disneyland)

I am always saddened by war.
You can help out..by selling all your belongings and donating the proceeds to the church orgs over there, Then do what Mother Teresa would have done for them.
BTW I have been there (a..place called 'Djabouti').

Djabouti - A poem by PaperDog (AKA Grant Collinsworth)

I have stepped over lepers
to get to the Suk.
A man with his goat, got plans for a nuke.

I have taken the pictures
of the forbidden souls,
Untouchable Mullahs and the fanciest trolls.

I have seen in their faces
the absence of hope;
Buried in beards and pipes full of dope.

I could hear it in women;
(the fear in their bones)
vouging escape by bullet or stones.

I have spoken the word;
and laughter abound
threatened and kicked, robbed of a pound.

I have seen enough evil
to fill up a hole
as big as the grave (in Sarajevo)

It's life with no God,
A garden of thorns,
The vultures to feed; Flesh to be torn.

I live in America,
Land teaming with greed.
No one to guard or tend to her needs

Oh D-ja-bouti
Bad vision or dream?
The reality here is not as it seems...

I slept on a mattress;
You having no bed,
I ate of the cake; You never got fed

So, who has the burden?
The rich or the dead?
One thing is for sure, we're always mis-led.

Dog, you are a perfect example of an artistic person that uses too much
of one side of your brain and applies it too everything you encounter
and think about. This is what is refered to as a wierdo.

You will have trouble here because the other artists here are capable
of seperating logic from artistic thought.

I think that reasonable doubt SHOULD be the cornerstone of any real "justice" system.
I think that sometimes the guilty will get away with their deeds, but that is the price we pay for not being able to lock ppl up willy-nilly with rumor & innuendo.
I think that PROOF should be needed before you can lock someone up, or worse, & that if you cannot provide it, they should go free, no matter the personal opinions of the community at large.
I think that circumstantial evidence is a very shaky thing, very often.
I would rather a criminal go free than an innocent person be convicted of a crime.

Agreed.
The case is over.

WTF Klugmo... How do you make a leap like that? Seriously... I rant about how unjust the justice system is and you peg me as a resident of Virginia??

This whole piece of life is a tragedy.

But, Philby go back and look at all that you have posted.
Then take it out of one little court room. Apply it to our nation. You have actually posted some brilliant comments.

Thank you.

Your Constitutional Party friend.

You sure seem to know a lot about all these people(personal thoughts, wants and motives) from a thousand miles away on the Mexican border.
People reading what you write might think you are a know it all.[/b]

Klugmo, you obviously don't even know me , or for that matter the "other' artists. One thing for sure you do a lot of finger pointing, and you seem ignorant of the fact that you're equally culpable....

Now since you volleyed your judgement and opinion on me, let me share mine about you.
You sound to me like a man who is dying. Probably pretty angry at me and others like me, because we remind you (in postings) of how badly you've gotten steam-rolled by a system that you pretend to faithfully believe in. Your'e a 'goody-two shoes', who never made any waves in highschool, and you've cultivated absolutely no meaningful opinion that would have you venture out of your comfort zone. You are King of the "good ol boys" club in your neck of the woods, but you ain't sh*t anywhere else. You've lived your entire life in "safety Mode" and you come here to Band Mix to share what (you call your art), in the hopes that somebody will be kind enough to make up for all the years you were deprived of validation.

You'd like to believe I'm 'weird'. People like you do that sort of thing every day. You call other people 'weird',. whenever you can't comprehend them, get next to them or even keep up with them.

In the words of Whitman: "You don't know who I am, or what I mean."

You should be thanking me that I gave your sorry, banal ass this much thought, Its the only attention you've gotten all week... Now go @@@@ yourself!
