This season has been really great. people are jumping on this venue with seasonal people buying. I make it reasonable, and people don't have to worry about spending $7.00 for a beer. I have upkeep that I do for our family's enjoyment, but it is a place people are looking for. A blessing for our hard work keeping our place nice so that others can come here and enjoy. It is employing my family and our skills through the Grace of God! Simple sweet, and work is our play. $10.00 a day plus services rendered gets guests into shooting competitions and horseshoes. Cook outs and all that we find fun are what people are looking to find, and they find it here. Had a fireworks show last night as we cooked chuck eye steaks and hot dogs. Quads, dirt bikes and kickball preceded that. Can this become a drag? I don't want to know. :D

Target shooting only. Anyone shooting anyone else will get kicked out. We have a layout here we've been working on for years. We've been enjoying it for ourselves, but there are people advertising on Craigs list wanting to pay, and this place has what they're looking for. I never wanted to advertise it, but in responding to people's inquiry, I get to pick and choose who I reply to. Don't need no crazys. I also get to get payed to train people, which is what I'm trained to do, without being on someone else's clock. Guaranteed to improve your shooting skills by 30% or you don't pay for training.

I sold my last revolver. Flat framed Glocks work best for me.

But I always loved that S&W 38. Carried one in combat like an idiot (should have had an auto) just because I thought it was cool.

Why? Because Ramar of the bloody jungle carried one on TV when I was a kid. To me, that was the standard of pistol-ness.

Nice model of it in the pic - love the grips. Maybe as a backup...?

Actually Patton carried a .45 Long Colt Colt manufactured "peacemaker" or more accurately the model of 1873 Single Action Army, as well as a 1911A1.

The revolver I carry is a S&W model 19-4 in .357 magnum.
The Texas State Troopers carried this model in the 70's

I purchased mine about ten years ago, had it tuned, and did some custom work myself. ( they have doubled in value since then )

I came to appreciate Glock pistols when I was working as a gunsmith.

My primary concealed carry now is the Glock 22.
With that 15 round magazine I feel no need to carry a spare magazine like I do when I carry a 1911. Or a speed strip with the revolver.

Sorry ... back to MUSIC.

Patton had some great quotes. When asked about his "pearl handled pistols" he replied, "Only pimps carry pearl handled guns - mine are ivory!"

When asked about the efficacy of handguns in combat he said he knew of 27 men killed by handguns. "I killed two of them (in Mexico) and the rest where people having stupid accidents."

cheers

Nether ... they are a polymer.

First revolver I ever shot belonged to my father.
Was a High Standard single action .22 and she has white grips.
Had a soft spot for white grips ( and Guitars ) most of my life.

Sans

there is a myth that I used to subscribe to, that white guitars sustain better. I still wonder some times...
