I didn't watch any of it. Criminal cases should be behind CLOSED doors, period. The jury (rightly or wrongly) honestly didn't think the prosecution proved anything BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT, PERIOD. Get over it...

Bob would like to "let it Go" (And so did Casey Anthony) LOL!

WTF Klugmo... How do you make a leap like that? Seriously... I rant about how unjust the justice system is and you peg me as a resident of Virginia??

When it comes to hurting a child, I would be in the front row passing out the stones. I can't even express in words how angry and upset these kinds of cases make me. There was another one not long ago in my local news; the mother was accusing the boyfriend, the boyfriend was pointing fingers at the mother...it doesn't matter who beat her to death, you both left her dying in the next room GODDAMMIT! WTF!! Little kids that can't protect them goddamn selves, that couldn't possibly do anything to deserve the abuse their dealt, they can't rely on their own parents to take care of them and love them. I think about my son and I die a little inside to think that any parent is capable of hurting or killing their kid.
No there was no solid proof that Casey killed her little girl and left her to rot in a swamp until all physical evidence was completely destroyed. But you better believe if I were on that jury I would have been the one jurer with resonable doubt that she didn't do it. Then there at least would have been a hung jury and they'd have to try her guilty ass again.
I couldn't agree with you more, Girl Friday....
Especially when it comes to adults hurting children. So we get these "politically" correct (yet patently wrong) folks, pontificating about "How well the system works"... And I'm thinking to my self, Yeah? Well explain that one to that little girl?.
I bet if it was "their" little girl, and this sh*t happened, they'd be singing a different tune...
I said it before and I'll say it again; The judicial process is a crock. It is ANYTHING but justice and it doesn't take a rocket scientist or a stone thrower to figure out that the Anthony trial was a huge circus act.

I See your 4 cases and I raise you 20 more... The real bet isn't about the "justice " or the "Injustice..." Its about what conveniences the Attorneys and the Judges. You can count on any case in America, being led to the outcome which best serves the monetary interest of the State/court, the attorney's and the tax payer... in that order.
Never mind murder trials, Check out probate law sometime, It will make you want to throw up.
Your argument holds no water.
Casey= no money
Her Parents= no money
State Councels= maybe they made some overtime
Judge= same pay as anyother case
State= had to pay out the ying yang
TV& Cable= made bookoo bucks
Now they are trying to burden the defendant with the cost.
Suck up all her Interview TV BOOK MOVIE monies in future.[/b]

I forgot to mention... These trials you pointed out are all associated with El Paso County "judicial Venue" . Don' t even get me started about the great cultural divide here. Let me put it another way... I am White, Anglo Saxon, Irish/English American Citizen (born and raised as a tax ID number with a broken Social Security promise ) ...and I AM a minority in this town.
Its not the people/persons, neighbors that I have a grievance with..../, its the f**k 3rd world practices that got dragged into the mix.
For your edification, read up on the difference between French law and The King's (England Case law). Where I live, just south of the border, French law seems to prevail. Instead of seeking the truth in a case... They are inclined to seek remedy first aka..." How much will it take to make this go away?"
That legal precedence of philosophy has spilled over to my judiciary hood and I'll tell you what.. I am f**k sick of it ... That's why you hear me rant and rave about what a circus act the courts are... Its not about justice its all about remedy. ANd even then, its as though that remedy is reserved strictly the greedy ass bullies of the community.

'In England, justice is open to all - like the Ritz hotel.' - Mr Justice Mathew 1830-1908
In U.S. the Definition of Court Costs:
http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictiona ... ourt+costs.
In Business: We have what are called "Opportunity Costs": That's what this case is for Baez (and for the prosecutor...and for the judge (via reputation) )
So Baez won't receive his exorbitant fees from this know-nothing family. Instead, he just won himself a huge endorsement to represent the next real jet-setter who gets in trouble. To pull this off..he HAD to support press coverage of the trial without compromising the case... Hence CIRCUS ACT.
If you ain't gettin it Klugmo... then I give up.... no hard feelings of course. I'm just sad as hell about that little girl.
