Three days left on premium subscription. Doubt I'll check in for a while. It's been amusing, but my interests aren't where they were three months ago. As you might have guessed, I am an an avid Christian. That doesn't make me a good one. From whence I came I still have a long way to go and I don't think Bandmix Forum has much more for me in my path. It's not that I would not advocate Bandmix, it's just not right for my personality. I could only assume a lot of you can agree. I need to find where I Can help people. not be an additive to the world's turmoil. In the end times it is said that the world will be troubled as birth pains. With all the disasters of the world of late, I would be remiss to just say Whew! That was close! Japans tsunami shifted the earth off it's axis 10 centimeters, which is what happens in the birth canal before a baby shows it's crown. I am going to put my problems on God's shoulders and ask of His forgiveness. I am going to ask Bandmix members to forgive me for any terse remarks I may have made in my history and to only look upon them no more seriously than Lucy pulling the football from Charley Brown. God bless you all. :D

Turmoil is as turmoil does, Crunch. You just have to learn to be yourself and to hell if other people don't like it. You can't help others if you don't help yourself first. There are plenty of people out there who don't want help and the ones who do, the situation will find you where you can be of service. So just do your thing, but by no means, coming together with different people that aren't anything like us is a part of life. If everyone had the same agenda as we did, what would there be to learn? I belong to many other forums other than this one, so I know when to take breaks. Just think about that.

I know exactly what he means. The signs of the times being what they have been in the last decade leaves one wondering just how important music is, pursuit of it, investment in it, all things considered for me.

I didn't renew the Premier membership. Money is too tight for it. Bandmix seems to be the most active of this type of website. Just seems more geared towards larger population centers, which is logical.

But, yeah, being a Christian and believing the nearness of Christ's return is at the doorstep creates a pretty deep pocket of contemplation of time and place on a daily basis.

Yes, you are both sooo right. I could make quotes of what each of you said, but it is already there in black and white. My best action is to respond. First of all, Cheaya, That was a very sweet message that was if you were here to tell me in person. Almost as if you knew me more than I have revealed on any of my posts. I am searching my path in a lot of ways. As a husband, and a father, as a provider, (or lack of). We have a humble home and we make the very best of what comes to us. Currently I'm unemployed, yet my cup overflows with good things. I have had many professions that I have endured to the pinnacle of my abilities. Some, I have perfected my skills, others have been a lesson in humility. I now have five resume's in fields of my expertise. I have a desire to work in areas that I can help the most. That, in it'self would be the most rewarding, and I would be a wealthy man. I think outside the box. Some may say I've never been in the box. I am searching for myself. I have a lot to improve on.There are people with glowing personalities. I am not one of them. Many of them are here on Bandmix. I thank you and all those that have responded to my posts, no matter the outcome. I leave this post by saying in the words of David Gates: I wish you all the good things in life. God bless you all.

Yea, it does seem overly dramatic. Just the title makes me want to say, "OK...leave already"

But I haven't "joined" anything so I don't know what he's talking about leaving.

We should be meeting live musicians in live situations. We can post music almost anywhere these days. Internet promotion only works if there is live promotion going on at the same time. There is no fee to join the discussion board here and discuss with other musicians.....so what's the point of Premier Membership anyway?

I too can see the signs of the times.

http://lewrockwell.com/rep2/12-things-m ... about.html

lots of wierd sh*t going down.

But it ain't like not playing is going to help things. Music of the Spheres my friend - those of us who play contribute to that with our little vibrations and our good humor.

We're not gnostics for gosh sake - no point in navel gazing when there are songs to be written. Let Christ do His work and you do yours.

Talk about dramatic, How about that icon of yours?. Makes me as a forum member feel like I'd passed out and that's the first thing I see after being given mouth to mouth resuscitation! No music in that pic! :P Took your advice and posted this one for free!
