Lyrically I must agree with you, if you follow a Belief system like Christianity, it would behoove you to remain solid with what you are conveying your lyric content, e.g. condoning any of the supposed Sins for example.

But, of course this prevention of lyrical Freedom is antithesis to what the Arts are all about. Not only that but this form of censorship would only be appreciated by like-minded Christians.

And acts 17,please read the whole thing starting at v 24 and not just a piece to prove a point thats not there.acts 17 is telling us that we will not find God in objects made of gold and silver,v 30 says truly these times of ignorance god over looked but now commands all men every where to repent. Now what has this got to do with what we are talking about????remember we are talking about music and lyrics.

speaking of bullets..

"Speaking where the Scriptures are silent can be almost as dangerous and divisive as failing to speak where they speak."

this is totally a ruse of the enemy to divide: nothing more.

ps. apologies for my harsh tone earlier

IF everything was fine and as the scriptures dictated and then some people added the element not authorized which caused the division then the people who added the unauthorized element are THE ones who caused the division.

Speak where the scriptures speak and be silent where the scriptures are silent backs the view I'm presenting my man.

If the scriptures didn't say to do it we must not add it. I mean you haven't disagreed with the point that we are not told to do it and that it is clearly an idea of men.

If God wanted it he would have asked for it.

It's meditation In the song Across the Universe when John is singing "ohmmmmm". I was told the vibrations you make when you create that particular sound are believed to be the sound of the Universe. Probably a lot of folks have enjoyed the song and not realized what he is actually saying. Or doing.
Those Beatles were some devilish folks

OM / AUM! the Divine Utterance! Metaphorical of the Universe as Sound/Divine Sound, Nada Brahma in Hindu texts.

It has been called the Word in the Judeo-Christian Bible, Persian scriptures Sraosha, Kalma in Muslim scriptures, ‘the Sonorous Light' in Buddhism, Naam or Shabd by the Sikhs, in Patanjali Yoga Darshan, the Goddess Ishwara is a Being expressed by this original vibration (Pranav) and Madam Helen Blavatsky and the Theosophists call it ‘the Voice of Silence'.
Those references have nothing to do with Christianity. Kinda like reading a Kubota manual to repair a Kenworth. Worthless.

Pretending to think we can understand scripture has led to many a legalistic downfall and pushed untold numbers away from the truth and the light of the world.

We can be washed in Christ blood, free of sin in our Father's eyes and thereby acceptable into the kingdom of heaven.
As a free gift, that none may boast.

The rest is great conversational material at best.

No jab intended at any individual or group.

Just stating my personal revelation by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

II Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

II Tim 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Before there was a voice, before there was a physical body to create a voice, there was Sound, there was harmony of Sound (as well as chaos of sound).

Music is organized sound, it is the first / primordial sound, the LOGOS.
Organized sound / music is made of primordial vibration, it is the very make-up of our Being, to deny this is a great travesty.

Only Christianity (according to you) and Islam doesn't recognize this from all the Belief systems in the world now or in the past.

No apologies from me guys.

Debate is good and stimulates introspection.

I'll debate with a good man like Paul any day.

And respect him no less. 8)

My thoughts exactly. And that feeling is 100% mutual!
