By the time these freshman make it to Congress, its really too late. The fate of the U.S. is pretty much sealed by then... You've got to kill these people when they are still in high school ... :P

killing any politician doesn't solve any problems. By definition people who want to become President or serve in positions of political power have serious psychopathic tendencies. You kill one or more and they will simply be replaced by similar psychopathic individuals. What needs to be changed is the entire system. I'm not sure that's even possible. ANY political system involves people taking advantage of other people. The best we can hope for is a system that minimizes the opportunities for people to take advantage of everybody. As great as our government is compared to most other governments around the world, it still is rife with people like John Edwards. I'm not sure it's even possible to have an equitable governement. Remember when Obama promised transparency? Maybe EVERY meeting and EVERY new law or bill passed should be broadcast LIVE on the web 24/7 and all the political figures should be STARK NAKED. Then and only then will the B.S. end...

We the people are the government.

We need only hold our employees responsible for their unconstitutional behaviors.

By whatever means necessary.

This house is really divided.
What a shame that we have allowed this to occur over the last 70 years.

It is a deadly circle. Decent people mind their own business and have no desire to boss others around. Typically, we work hard, take care of our families and help others if we can.

The folks who want to boss us around devote their lives to that one thing. I could scream when I hear people denouncing some candidate for not having enough "experience." That experience is called learning how to take Mike's money and feel good about it.

I remember a guy was running for president of our church council. He asked me if I would vote for him. We get along fine but...I told him 'no.' "why?" "Because officer rank is a duty - I'm suspicious of any one who would actively seek such rank." Which about sums it up I'm afraid.
