What the heck did you do now? The IRS has to have some teeth, but when they focus on the individual, they can become abusive. This is wrong. This is capricious and arbitrary government. The individual becomes the easy target because the tax code has reached the point of REDICULOSITY! [that's not really a word but it should be].

Now on the sad side. We had an 82 year old oil customer. When I first met him 4 years ago he was living in total squalor. 3 companies refused to enter his home, when he had no heat. This is the sort of stuff you run into sometimes.
Anyway he was a wonderful old man with many health problems. He would call sometimes just to chat. 3 times we called in the county police when he called and then would "vanish" not answering the door etc. 3 times county police violated his 4th amendment rights. The 3rd time county found him dead, alone, in a 100 degree house.

Just a stupid little story.

Paperdog - I think that was actually the Indiana Federal Court that stated that and yes, its a bloody disgrace. Particulalry in view of the murder a SWAT team committed recently in Pima Co. AZ.

We have no choice but to open fire if someone breaks into our home; loud aggressive 'men' dressed like thugs with guns. In the dark a swat costume parallels biker drag. Various criminal gangs use that format now. (gangs in addition to the govt 'gangs.')

this is not the America I grew up in. It's very scary place where everything is inverted. The 4th ammendment is a victim of the drug war, coup de grace by this ridiculous war on terror.

Several years ago I wrote a tune that summarizes how I view this situation. (see below - this text format kills my song temp which uses color to differentiate lyrics, text and music)
