A third party may not be the ultimate answer. But WE AMERICANS must hold our elected employees responsible for their acts of treason to our Constitution.

Indeed. There is a great difference between a politician and a statesman.

One has to question if the latter exists anymore; if they CAN exist in the current civil servant environment of local to state to national government.

Corruption is so deep and wide-spread it's systemic. About the only thing left is revolution and/or secession/ civil war. I suspect one would have begun already were it not for obvious things like muskets don't cut it anymore, and money is something patriots don't have enough of. So, people wait for elections, only to see the choices are another round of systemic problems in the waiting or addressing problems media will create for people they do not like, which drives possible statesmen away from entering civil service and wastes valuable time and energy.

It's a game. Has been for generations. Those opposed to Constitutional government played well while patriots slept. It's probably too late to effect any reasonable, productive change before America collapses.

Time will soon tell.

Well said guys. Obviously, not all of us are asleep. Either we teach or wake up the citizens about the revolution that is happening now, or forever lose our freedoms.

It's inconsistent and odd to say it's good for the government to regulate our sexuality and reproduction, but it should stay out of the financial system.

Glen, I think you are an example of exactly the sort of thing they are criticizing. You are so dogmatically dedicated to a particular idea about the size of government that you fail to recognize a very real need to reframe the entire discussion.

The piece I linked to above makes some really strong points about such dogmatism. I sincerely hope that you can understand them and realize the value in abandoning dogma in favor or dialog.

Actually Mike, I think an awful lot of voters changed their mind on John McCain when they realized that made a certain, certainly NOT qualified person one heart beat away from the presidency. At his age that is a very valid concern. You don't know how many people I talked to in my neighborhood that would not vote for him because of it, and many claimed they would have, before he was paired with the illustrious ex-govenor of Alaska. I firmly believe had they asked Romney to be his running mate, the election would have been alot closer.
