Do you write your own tunes? If so what are the topics, subject matter you write about? IMO what concerns the MUSICIANS on this forum, including what appears to be non-musical topics, ARE music topics because the MUSICIANS here are concerned with them. I write tunes about topics that concern me. I'm INTERESTED in what concerns people on this forum. Unless your tunes are mind fluff like a lot of Lady Gaga's tunes for example, then I am interested in the non-musical topics that interest you. Your demanding that we stick to music topics falls on deaf ears. If you don't like a thread skip it and go on to the next one. (Damn it I just made a demand on YOU. Shame on ME.)

I'll take a shot in the dark answer: I feel safe. Politics are not my religion.

Everybody's fear is filling the atmosphere with a thick cloud that is causing people to fear the worst. I won't live in fear of circumstance...I'll do my damndest to fight what I'm against without fear though...which is the right mindset to have if you ever really plan on winning.

I play where I wish to play and I also do what I wish with my music. When I don't post something concerning my music, that is my business. When I play, I play when I want to, that is also my business. When I answer a post not about music, that is also my business.

When we do post our music, few bother to comment anyway. So just how do you suppose we force THEM to do that? I participate, as a handful of others also participate.
Look at the reads and posts on a musical thread. Look at the reads and posts on a political thread. Count them, and average them, and see what you get. A lot of traffic and participation that would not otherwise keep Bandmix as lively as it is. And traffic is what keeps sites alive, as well as participation, and that is what keeps people coming here to see what is going on every day. There is more than enough room for music only posts. Start your own, ignore others you do not approve, just like the rest of the participants on the internet. Some come here just to flame, and some to read those flames. It's fun, we all do it.

I would suggest that those bitching about non musical posts spend more of their own time filling their Bandmix page to overflowing with their music first, before dictating to others what they should or should not be doing with their time. Now that's a novel thought, isn't it? Then they can fill this forum with their very own musical posts, and those interested in responding will do so.
