Geez. Speaking of crazy sh*t, a 10th grade teacher of 25-years is getting called out by a parent for her job because she found out she writes erotic romances under a pen name. I say good, maybe her 15yo kid will read some of the teacher's books and not only increase his ability to read, but he'll learn how to get laid and do it well so as to quit young pubescent girls from seeking out older men like I was forced to do at that age.

That is crazy. By 2nd grade I was reading at a high school level thanks to my grand mother being casual with her Harold Robins novels. IE the Tattooed Rood. Great stuff. Got me into trouble by 4th grade but all's well that ends well and thats a whole nother book. [NUFF OF MY SHORT STORIES]

No one found government way out of control when two Asians charged a musician with a hate crime for singing Kung Foo Fighting while they walked past the club? They weren't even in the audience. They were just passing by on their way to somewhere else. :?

That makes me wonder what other songs musicians can no longer perform.

Re Govt. I'm never surprised at anything they do. Since the UK, US, USSR and Red China teamed up to crush Rhodesia I have assumed that all bets are off and freedom is a joke they tell to get young guys to fight for their right to kick us around. I say screw 'em and pray daily that the Lord will frustrate their efforts to crush us and send them confusion and despair. (or change their hearts!)

Yes, I did, Slacker, I said my signature "geez" which means, "how stupid is that!" Should I have said more? I didn't know there were such laws in England, they certainly don't exist here, we'd just sue the restaurant and be done with it. Cash money opp, not making the government rich with an arrest.

Chaeya,

Yeah. You're right. It left me somewhat speechless too. It is so stupid. Some days I feel like I'm in a bad movie when I see what is going on around the world today. If it were a bad movie I would just shut it off and walk away.

Superman did. He went PC and the world is simply a better place now that he renounced his American citizenship. But I always thought he was an alien. :) Maybe we should make America a Superman no fly zone.

At least we still have freedom of speech, as long as we don't sing Kung Foo Fighting, or utter any of the other taboo words used for communication. Can someone write a song using all the banned PC words for lyrics? I'd love to hear it.

I read an news article that a Lesbian reporter (Maddok) wrote about other gay commentators needing to come out of the closet and support gay rights.
When I responded and typed the word Lesbian, it was starred out. So when lesbians call themselves lesbians in an article it is OK, but when someone else refers to a lesbian as a lesbian while responding to the very same article it is politically incorrect. How did that end up on the automated censored list? Just exactly what other word can someone use to describe that particular sexual preference? Never mind. That was rhetorical. Some you would probably come up with a long list of them.

Before long we all have to communicate by uttering grunting noises so as not to offend anyone. "I just grunted a new song on my Bandmix page" may be the wave of the future. :?

I think another problem the US does is firing people. We tend to use the "shame" approach which when you look at it, it is a way of "arresting" people because they get fined - like Kobe Bryant and his anti-gay slur last week or they get fired - like the number of shock jocks.

If you know a person is a shock jock to begin with and they rant on telling a number of off-color jokes and so on, what's the point of punishing them and getting angry? That's what they do. Like Rush Limbaugh, I don't listen to his show, but if someone likes listening to the idiot, I don't want to interfere with their right to do so.

I believe in the freedom of speech, I don't have to agree, but people should be able to express themselves.

The sheer stupidity of censoring words is beyond belief. When you take away one word that describes something, another has to take its place. How long before that word needs to be changed. Stupidity rules in PC.

It won't be long before the thought police will be taking us to trial.
