Glen j) , If you think I am exaggerating in any way, I wil have some things to say to respond. First, I Didn't start this topic. I only responded to those who believe handguns should be controlled. Second, I never try to overstate what I know on this site. There are people that know more about music than I do but if I were to emphasize any ones credibility (or Challenge It), I would be prepared to take the challenge I engaged. If you were prepared to fly your pedaled fly trap to my place and land in my Range, I guarantee you that for a nominal amount , you would improve your shooting ability 30% in the first hour. I'd never say you can't play guitar without hearing your ability. I'd say it's up to you to pull your own foot out of your own mouth and see if you can or did do what you said you did with mirrors and tits and all that, and you can see my DD214(Don't know what that is do ya?) or have your piece ready and say your peace, or make peace and shut the hell up. I am a veteran of the strongest fighting force in the world and if you can't accept that then You have a problem my friend. I have rare Honors in the Few and the Proud. Oh yeah , bring your guitar! 8)

From now on it's only 'squitos.

New country song,,,, "Please don't take your flubbers and leave"

Take the dog, take my hair,
take the house I don't care,
Take the car, I won't grieve,,
But please don't take your flubbers and leave...

Awe c'mon darlin' it was just a small bug and besides, how do you know for sure it wasn't "packin'" :)

I know you really wrote that song, Glen, and I know you've been playing it out in public. Ha ha!

Okay, I'll forgive you. Besides, I have many war crimes against insects, the hundreds of fireflies I suffocated to death in the pickle jars because we didn't know any better then. Then there was my Trail of Death I made in the dirt in my backyard when I was a kid. I'd put Potato Bugs on there and when they reached the middle I'd throw rocks at them and if they could reach the other side unscathed, I'd let them live. Not many did. Then I'd have a funeral for them, complete with sad music. Then all the flies I killed with my Whiffle Ball Bat. Then the times I would take an ant from the backyard and set him down with the ants from the front yard. (Sigh)

I begged for a lot of forgiveness for those crimes. I made sure my kids learned to respect life early on. Like my Safe Catepillar to Butterfly Transition Program. I would find catepillars and give them safe haven and food during their transition then I'd release them when they turned into butterflies. My Safe Spider Relocation Program where I make sure all the spiders are out of the shower before I turn it on.

Okay, but ants and 'squiters are frickin' dead. I told them to stay out of my house, so they do.

Hey, If did stands for disposable diaper then it doesn't count. If it means you were in the military then God bless those that protect us that are able to get on this site with the freedom of speech that is so valued and accesssed without gobmnt reprisal. Unless your DD---214--- says that not only that you've sworn to protect and honor the people and constitution of the United States, well, I guess you'd have to be there to understand the commitment you made and thats different than a disposable diaper Glenn. What one must understand is that some of us are better than others at what we do, even though the competition and standards are high. To Stevie Ray Vaughn... Well I once played 14 guitars at once, was yutubed to 14 different live sites And... :P

Crunch I wasn't making fun of you. You took that way to seriously. Even CHAEYA, Joined in the fun. RG caught it right away, he has a great sense of humor. Go back and read what I wrote and maybe you will see how ridiculous and funny it was. If you notice I didn't attempt to degrade any of your honors in any way, and I wouldn't.
Now down to your dumbass view that we don't need long guns.. When it comes the f**k down to it ask any Marine ,Navy, Airforce, Specialforces of any kind,,, IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO KILL YOUR ENEMY 500 YARDS AWAY THAN LET THEM WALK UP AND STICK A KNIFE IN YOUR BACK!
Enough said.

If I said we don't need long guns, that would put me in the same bracket of Dumb asses that want to control what kind of defenses other people need. I don't need a long gun. I would wait to find out if I'm under attack by identifying someone as an enemy and be certain that I was being under attack rather than shooting my neighbor whom I may have had an argument yesterday who is coming to tell me "The British are coming!" By the way, I did ask a Marine, and I said yes to myself, we do need long guns and others generally, the same as we need long range weapons, surface to air,air to air,mid and short range missiles, attack jets, bombers, re-fuelers, carriers and such, but "I" don't need my own carrier in my yard. Annie Oakly used mirrors and made spectacular shots. She was from Ohio. Other states have laws that I feel should be universal, such as the right to having a loaded hand gun in my glove box. Truth is, there is a whole lot of evil going around. I actually like long guns and would not support anyone trying to outlaw them, but it was a demonstration of how everyone has their preferences of what they need in their arsenal. :)

I don't know if it's true or not any more, that the statement Cheya made about the majority of break-ins occurring when people are not in their homes. I just don't want to be in that minority of folks whom are at home when someone breaks into my house, and not have any means of defending myself and my family. I had a sister-in-law in Sacramento whom was home alone when a man kicked in the door to her apartment. The man came into her bedroom and saw that she was alone. He approached her in bed, and probably not with the intention of tucking her in and saying "sweet dreams". Debbie was able to retrieve a handgun from the nightstand and pointed it at the intruder. He came closer. She fired one round, missing him, but he immediately turned and ran. My guess is, that he was not afraid of her, but of the deadly force capability that she possessed by owning a handgun. Had she not had a gun, she most likely would have been another rape statistic.
