That's what punk was really about back in the mid-80's. F*k whether you were a mainstream-quality or sold over the radio, it's all about having fun and actually stepping up to do something instead of sitting at home dreaming of tours. Keep doing what you're doing. It kinda reminds me of the back-alley, party punk style of bands like Rednecks in Pain and Oblong Box, dare I even say the earlier days of Black Flag?
