Ooooh, I'm quaking in my boots over here. Gee George, you sound a little uptight, are you all right? You obviously get a dick rise out of all your guns, so what do you care if me and some folks don't like them? I just said, if you're going to haven them, just use them responsibily. The problem is most people don't use them responsibly. But that's just my opinion. Last I checked, I never voted or signed any papers to take away people's guns, so why get mad at me?

Now you're talking my lanugage. I practice regularly with my Samurai sword. Guns are just tools like power drills - but swords matter!

I know many gun owners who use them recreationally, hunting and target shooting. To me gun control laws are INSANE. Where would it stop? Eventually there would be laws that prohibit the ownership of ANY dangerous item that could be used as a weapon. What the hell would we use to carve our Thanksgiving turkey with? It's akin to the smoking bans in ENTIRE towns, INCLUDING in your own apartment. The last time I checked smoking was LEGAL. It should be your choice whether you want to smoke or not IN YOUR OWN RESIDENCE. Just as it should be YOUR CHOICE to protect your OWN RESIDENCE with a handgun.

If you feel strongely about this or anything political the thing to do is talk to your local elected officials. We can rant all day on here about our own beliefs but all it seems to do is get peoples pantys in a wad.

As for me I am a card carrying member of the NRA. I vote in all elections, and one of the issues i ask of my candidates is where they stand on gun control. I feel it is my right to own any sort of gun that I want in my household, and there are plenty in there. I will protect my property or the safety of my family if something where to happen in my home or on my property.

If you believe in excessive gun control, then talk to your elected officials, get involved if you feel so strongely, I think that is your right also.

Im sorry that guns get stolen and used for the wrong reasons. But why should I and my many friends who do enjoy gun ownership be penalized for stolen guns. The people I know who shoot are responsible with their guns. They are for the most part trained in the use and safety of using thier guns. They are legally registered guns. Most have permits to have them and carry them. We are talking people that follow the law to the tee, to own thier guns. In the land of the free why should they be penalized because some folks use them for the wrong reasons? I dont get the basic concept here, maybe Im dumb.

I think a law requiring a gun in every household would be a great deterrent to combat crime. Then we would only argue about which criminals to shoot.

Gun laws don't bother criminals. They can get all the guns they want and always will be able to get them. If they didn't come from America, they would get them elsewhere. If they were outlawed world wide, people would make them in their basements. I used to make zip guns as a kid. And they worked quite well. I had a 16 gauge shotgun in the closet for decades. Not once did it sneak out of the house in the middle of the night to shoot at anything.

The people we really need to defend ourselves against are the rogue legislators and tyrants who are going against the will of the people who elect them. They can take your house, eliminate your job, steal your hard earned money, legislate away your freedom, and throw you in prison all with a stroke of a fountain pen. Thus the second amendment.

How many freedoms have you lost so far? Far more then you realize.

Good Luck Slacker is all I can say, the legislature is what it is. If you want to change that then you have to get involved.

Whether you realize it or not, there are powerful forces there upholding your right to bear arms. To me its the wlefare oriented people who want the government to fix all thier problems that are fighting to beat down our rights not the other way around.

When I was a kid and played baseball there was this one pitcher that just scared the hell out of me with an inside fastball. I would bitch and moan about him when his rotation came in and we played them. My coach said look, you can sit on the bench and bitch about it all you want, the only way to beat him back is to go up to that plate and challenge him. So I got up there and strange enough I hit a damn homer off this guy. After that he started pitching way outside to everyone else on the team, we wound up winning the game.

In this world there are people who talk the talk and there are people who walk the walk. You just have to make up your mind which one you are.

Good Luck

Once again my opinion on this thread is if you feel strongley one way or the other, then get active for your side. Its the way it does work, and it works if enough people get behind it.

Do you have people breaking into your house everyday? In fact, has anyone ever tried to break into your house? You do realize that most crimes happen out there in the real world, beyond your front door? And you do realize that your dumb ass law would make even less sense than a law banning hand guns? How is it that I've managed to stay alive for all these years without a gun? You have no answers so don't bother.

Well, we wouldn't have laws like this on the plate if dumb ass men wouldn't (a) shoot their wives just because she got sick of putting up with their sh*t and left them; (b) figured because they're depressed and can't take responsibility for being depressed they'd go down to the local mall and kill people then themselves because they want to be on TV; and (c) because their lame ass lost their job figured they'd kill their wife and their kids or (d) they kill their kids because they're getting back at their ex-wife. Every day I read bullshit like this.

Gee, having a gun in every household with the majority of stupid ass people on this planet who feel they shouldn't have to be responsible for themselves, that's a real winner there.

Wonder why many of the playgrounds are disappearing from McDonald's, because these dumbass parents chowing down on their burgers and texting aren't watching their kid, they're kid gets hurt and they sue McDonald's for their kid getting hurt. So if you notice a number of eating establishments across the country are getting rid of playgrounds because of the "liability" issue. So that means the rest of us responsible parents and our kids have to suffer because of stupid people.

Maybe if besides showing a driver's license to get a gun, get drug tested, provide personal references from people, and 6-months worth of psychological evaluation, I'd feel okay about people having guns. But then, that didn't help my friend whose husband passed all this and decided to blow her head off in January in front of her kids.

You're an idiot until proven sane. That's the way life has become.

Hey, just showing different sides of the situation. But like I said, everyone's freaking out and the people bitching have guns at this very moment, and I don't see any laws on the table preparing to take away your guns. Where's the freaking law? Right now, Obama's busy, he's getting ready to send $25 million to the Libyan rebels. Ha ha.

There you go again attacking with the most dangerous weapon known to mankind. Ok when did you have your hair straightened? Great pic. Doesn't quite fit in with your pirate scheme but I'll buy it. You are right, Skills with your sword are very based in skill and honor.

You are so much fun Chaeya. You go lady, good luck with the show.

Breaking into my house every day? Yeah right Jimmy, bring it into the realm of the ridiculous, that is how the liberal mind works. Just one break in would be enough to make it worth while for me. In the states where legal guns abound, crime drops.

Brush up on your reading comprehension skills Jimmy. I didn't say there should be a law, I said if there were a law such as that crime would drop. But I don't make laws Jimmy.

And no. I can't possibly imagine how you have stayed alive all these years. :) (Don't think too hard on that one.)
