The problem with a CO2 rig however is that you are contributing to global warming. Shame on you...fisherman bob wrote:gtZip wrote:A big Carp. Followed by a Wiper. That's a good one. Actually caught the big Wiper a few years ago. Last year I saw one cruising the surface, looked like the Loch Ness monster! Couldn't reach it from shore but I've got a plan to get my casts out a lot further this year. What I'm really interested in is finding out what's in another lake I fished quite a bit last year. I had three giants on that I never even turned around. Could have been huge Channel Cats, Carp or Wipers there also. The key is to wear them so that you have a stalemate, then gradually get them coming toward you. Once I have them turned it's a matter of time before I own them...
That happens every time I take a big carp too.
I've been thinking of some sort of CO2 rig, firing system. Shoot the line wayyyy out there.

Cooked a lot of fish and know what I'm doing -until it comes to carp. I gave it a valiant try to "get rid of the Mud vain, to no avail. I have had carp cooked (deep fried), and it was good because that guy knew what he was doing. 4 lb. test, I can believe. excellent job! It's the Pfleuger I can't PFathom!
Fish on...
