Dude, you're just now responding to that?

No, I wasn't trying to start anything. I glance at ALL posts here to see if there's something for me. I'm a very tolerant person, you said that "everyone" Christian or no could enjoy. I pulled up a few songs and they were just to "Jesusy" for me. They're talented, but if I want to hear kickass harmonies, I like to go to the Bulgarian chicks.

I caught that the first day. If I wasn't slow, if I were witty without being persnickety, I would have said something in a way that you weren't being attacked, or that you had attacked. I like to say I'm a Christian. Trouble with that is people like to weigh you in as if they are the almighty. I never tried to claim I'm a perfect Christian. I Know of only one. I Didn't mean to challenge your faith (in whhatever). Just tried to razz you into a challenge

It's just one man's idea, but I'm really starting to feel apprehensive about it. My idea being too big. People coming from out of state... and locally, or expected to because they said they would. People that may be interested are just not responding as I thought they might. There are bands out there that have exposure to venues that are better supported. Slow interest gives me less time to prepare. There would be some investment of time and money on my part. I may not be that popular among my friends here at Bandmix. An event of this magnitude should drive itself into being a reality. There are bands that weren't interested in the original Woodstock, and have regretted that choice. On the other hand, the second Woodstock was ,as I recall a Failure, overall. In this idea of mine, which by some, have been as I'd hoped. A "say the word, I'll be there" kind of thing. I know people don't want to say that unless they mean it, but, it is a huge risk on my part. Those that have better venues or must have a take to be interested, well, they may not have lucrative stocks to sell.

I know the feeling. I've been involved with five attempts on small festival type events that failed miserably on account of rain and only one that was semi successful. We put two shows together indoors that turned out alright. I'm just not very lucky with the weather. That's one of the reasons I quit riding.
However back in the day... we didn't have the 'Internet'. And I think that would be a big plus in the promotions dept.
As far as footing the bill... it's all about 'Sponsors' 'Sponsors' 'Sponsors'
Bud, Pepsi, Miller, Guitar Center, etc. etc.

No, not you.... Me! After all the failed attempts at putting on festivals and my willingness to try it again.

If you listen to God, He will tell you what he wants you to do. He has shown me I have the resources for this festival. This festival is not for my benefit, but a benefit for those of a magnitude 9 on the Richter Scale. Any doubts I had on the success of this project was taken away. Anyone needing proof that God exists may ask themselves "Do I need to be a part of this Event?" Then, Verbally (out loud,) Ask in Jesus name if this is what He wants you to do . You Will get an answer. Don't ignore it. :D

Pretty good advise Crunch.

Let's not forget that ... HE may also severely test our will ... if that is HIS will.

I haven't even brought myself to the calendar to see what the Date is until now. A couple of interesting things about that. A) It is the birthday of my step grandson - Jacob. There may be some biblical Passage I haven't yet explored. B) There Happens to be Five Saturdays in July! Can You Spare one of those for something to help your fellow man in something you may Enjoy?
