Good post.

And we have a senator here in Iowa that wants to turn a great deal of our food crop into fuel. What f&&^%$# morons. And people think that is a great idea. But so much for the efforts of the brain dead. It takes something like two gallons of gas to produce 3 gallons of ethanol, that by the way, is a far inferior fuel that gets less MPG. But then you have to fuel up more. So they get more tax money from you.

So we pay taxes to subsidize a crappy inefficient fuel, we shorten the food supply, we raise the cost of corn, used in almost all commercial foods, we still are using so called fossil fuels that add to the boogie man pollution , along with the pollution used to make the ethanol.

The people running this country are truly brain dead on all levels in both parties. Who destroyed the USA? Lawyers, that's who.

But then, that isn't the real reason behind cutting back our energy by 1/3. The reason for that is civil unrest it will cause so they can simply take over and remain in power. Yeah, I know. Another conspiracy cook. But at what point does it stop becoming a theory when it is going on right under your nose?

After all, how peaceful will you feel towards the government when you are forced to break even after a week of hard work, because of fuel and food prices. Or when you have to freeze in the winter to so you don't use up your allotment of fuel? They have taken your jobs, they have put us into debt that will cause hyperinflation, and they want to destroy our food supply. Just how calm will you be when it all goes down.

Well said.

The logic of cival disobedience and even civil war, or straight out revolution of some kind is no longer that far fetched.

Thomas Jefferson once said that Americans will take a certain amount of corruption in their leaders, but there comes a point when they reach their limit.

It happened in the 18th century. Why not in the 21st?

Of course, it's no longer muskets, but at the same time, the armed forces are getting burned, too, so for corrupt elected civil servants to expect the armed forces to back them up when it comes time to stop a revolt ... fat chance.

Because of ethanol I have ruined two weed whackers and good chain saw. People ruin their boat engines. All small engines get messed up by ethanol. Can it be politicians can be this ignorant? Methinks not.

No, the reason you have to buy ethanol has nothing to do with stretching our gas reserves, or getting off the foreign oil tit, & EVERYTHING to do with Monsanto's profits. They lobbied heavily for it, ^ they also came up with the EXCUSE that it would help ease our dependence upon foreign oil. Have YOU seen any difference, any lessening of our need for foreign oil? I sure haven't, but Monsanto sure has raked in the BIG bucks over this bit of legislation that was shoved down our throats.

WHO does our gov't work for, again?
