Ok, so I sold my Ampeg SVT Classic 8X10... and I am selling the head i was using with it too.

Awhile back I bought an Ampeg BA115HP 300 watt combo. It is loud. It works for good jamming. About a week ago I added an Ampeg BA210SP to the mix. Now I am running dual combos. DI out of one into the other.

Essentially 2X10 + 1X15 at a combined 520 watts.

I was skeptical about how this would sound. I set up my pedal board and used the 210's onboard modeller to dial in a nice SVT tone. Set my Sansamp Driver to give me some punch.

I had to turn it down. I jammed with a drummer I am hoping to add to the band I am starting. He is loud. He plays everything from Death Metal to Country and he can hammer. I still had to turn down. It is loud!

On top of it the tone I am able to pull out of this rig just makes me all sorts of happy. I am a new beleiver in the power of the combo amp when properly applied. Just the 210 alone was enough to jam with a tube half stack.

Sounds like a good setup.
I presently have Eric's bass and Steve's drum mic ( except the condensers )
Running into an old SUNN PA feeding an extra 3 15" speakers.

I like being able to establish the "rumble level" first and bring the band up to meet it at sound check.

Unfortunately I've had some issues with the old SUNN.
Thinking about putting the boys through the Carvin PA and feeding the two three way speakers as my bass and drum " monitors".

From the description, it sounds like a killer rig, BB. I'd love to hear it.

Our bassist has an old Hartke head and he has 3 cabs. 8x10, 4x10 and a 2x10. For most of our gigs he just uses the 4x10 cab. Its funny thou, we experimented a couple of years ago with both of us going direct live and our tone was the same. When he records he has an SVT Modeler that he uses.
